  1. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

I'm not a drag racer. Mostly twisty back roads and track days. And traffic.
  2. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

I'm not the only one with these thoughts, but apparently I'm the only one today? Since everyone seems to want to jump down my throat. Again, not saying the car isn't capable. Why do you think I'm here? I'm interested in the car, there's a lot to like. We don't get <40 degree weather here. :P
  3. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

Of course 60' matters, never said it didn't. The assumption that it "went over my head", or whatever, is pretty dumb. We weren't provided the data, for whatever reason. Nobody is debating whether or not the GT500 is going to have blistering acceleration in stock form. Question is how well will...
  4. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

Hope you all are having fun with the trolling while ignoring having an actual conversation. I suppose I've found Blackholes counterparts, eh?
  5. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

Analyzing a few numbers isn't rocket science. Only looking at the data that you believe is relevant, and making assumptions about the rest, is totally on you if that's what you want to do. But, I'm certainly not missing the point, because I'm looking at all the data and not crafting it to fit my...
  6. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

Because it's a street car. It's not a drag only car. These cars will be driven on the street. Drag strip data is not the only useful data. Some of us could care less what the car does on a prepped surface. Do I think that is the best it can do? Probably not, but that's what it did that day.
  7. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

I don't think anyone is debating that the GT500 is a lot faster than the ZL1 with that mph delta. Putting that power down efficiently on the street is a valid test, though.
  8. Honest Comparison GT500 ZL1 1lE (THIS IS NOT A TROLL POST)

GT500 vs ZL1 is going to come down to preference and price. Both cars are going to outperform anything at their respective price brackets, and are built to be triple threats. GT500 is no doubt the faster car, as it should be, since we've had the ZL1 out for 3 years already. If you're a...
  9. Car and Driver 2020 GT500 First Test - 11.4 @ 132 quarter mile

I think the ZLE with the A10 is probably a bit quicker than that, but either way the gt500 definitely pulls harder.
  10. Randy Pobst Twitter Today

Cup 2's are VASTLY superior to P4S on a track, unless it is raining. I can believe that the tires play a big role in the times for the two models. The ZL1 base GY's fare a lot better than PS4's on the track. The ZLE gains are mostly the suspension and aero, as well as having wider tires than...
