Perhaps you misread me. The GT500s at the dealership I talked to for the R were sold out of their 5 500s. They were allocated 1 GT350, 1 GT350R, and 5 GT500, another dealer the same (but no R), and same with my local dealer (no R)... Not every Performance Dealer gets to order a R this this...
