I'm considering doing the MRR M350 graphite wheels in a 19x10 squared setup. I'm going with either 275/40/19, 275/35/19 or 285/35/19 tires if I choose those wheels. I've seen pictures of S550s with all those tire sizes and they look fine to me. It'll probably just boil down to price and...
I understand and appreciate all you said Mike and thanks for adding some more valuable info to this thread about Vossen wheels. I do have to play Devil's Advocate though with what you mentioned regarding knock-offs and replicas. You guys who are in the wheel business, be it designing...
My Mustang is the "Hurricane" because I went to school at the University of Miami and have been a fan since I was a little kid in the 80s. Plus, it's a convenient coincidence that the most powerful hurricane is a Category 5 and the car has a 5 liter engine, hence the "Category 5.0" tagline over...
Well, thank you all for contributing to this thread. It's become pretty colorful in here thus far.
Paul's response on Monday night was spot-on and answered my question perfectly. So, while I too like to buy US-made products when possible, if the glaring majority of aftermarket wheels for...
Are you using a shallow socket or a deep socket? I bought a single 13/16" deep socket from my local auto parts store for like $4 to keep in my tool chest in the garage just for lug nuts. Keeps me from having to dig out the tool kit I keep in the spare tire well.
My setup used to pop and backfire a LOT during shifting and deceleration before I installed my cold air intake and a tune. Now when there's hardly any excess noise at all. Maybe one small crackle here and there, but NOTHING like it was before.
Glad to hear this. The Steeda Tri-Ax is the shifter...
Are you SURE that the 13/16" was too small? That's the exact size of the OEM lug nuts on my 2015 GT. While 21mm will also fit, you can cause corner rounding over time using that size and it's recommended to only use 13/16".
The April meet is THIS SATURDAY at 8 am. I'll be there if anyone wants to say hello. :)
Yes, it's that mall. It used to be a lot more crowded, but business plummeted there over recent years, so now there's barely anything left in the mall itself.
Here's the location on Google Maps...

Thank you Paul for the videos and detailed response! You answered my questions dead on.
While I will still try to find out where a particular wheel is made, I won't have any worries if I end up purchasing cast wheels that originated in Taiwan or some other non-Chinese nation. In...
Ah, thanks for digging into that some more. It is indeed difficult to find out EXACTLY where certain things are made these days, no matter how hard you try!
Sad, but true. Since that is likely the situation with a lot of wheels though, I guess the people who drop $500+ on a single wheel then...
Good grief man. Three tickets for tints already? I was born in Florida and lived down there for 13 years before I moved to NC in 2007. Never had any tickets for dark tints, but had plenty of speeding tickets until my last one at age 23 back near the end of 2003. Have a squeaky clean record since...
