  1. Official RTR Tech 7 Install Thread!

The retailer has no control over this. They are at the mercy of the manufacturer. There are a lot of funnels/failure points in the supply chain and it only takes one thing to cause a shortage of product. They are worth the wait though. I love my set as they are super light and look really good...
  2. Issue with brand new Koni Yellow

Just a quick update. Koni has been pretty positive about replacing the shock but won't say for sure until they get it and look it over. Luckily they will sell me a replacement beforehand at a big discount and refund me that money if it is indeed a defective shock. Overall I am really pleased...
  3. Suspension for DD / Weekend track GT PP -16

If you really want tighten up the front end, get a BMR front brace. $100 and takes minutes to install if you don't have any issues. My car was a pain since the metal didn't break off when they punched the holes in the frame at the factory. I had to dremel it until it broke off so I could fit the...
  4. Suspension for DD / Weekend track GT PP -16

You're gonna love the difference in handling man. It will feel like a proper sports car with those parts. Make sure to clock your bushings and get a good alignment after you install everything.
  5. 2017 GT w/PP vs. 2017 STI?

Another past STi owner here with a blown EJ25 (2005). I am not a fan of them at all. The paint and metal is even worse than the mustangs. I don't know if that got better in the later years or not. If you plan on leaving everything stock, it may be reliable or you may blow an engine. Who knows...
  6. Suspension for DD / Weekend track GT PP -16

Yes the CB005 is a better solution than the inserts. It does the job of what three steeda parts do in one. With that said, the differential bushing inserts do a great job with helping wheel hop too. I would do both if you still feel wheel hop after the CB005. If you feel like the front end isn't...
  7. What are you base GT guys replacing your P zeros with.

Go Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Best handling upgrade you can buy. Hell, tires are the only thing that touch the road so don't go cheap. Save up if you have to. Go with 275/40-19 if you upgrade wheels. If you're on stock wheels, I'm not sure what size you want to run.
  8. Suspension for DD / Weekend track GT PP -16

Buy the BMR CB005 for wheel hop. It also makes the front and rear suspension feel more connected and planted plus aligns your rear cradle. It's the best suspension mod you can do on these cars in my opinion. I would do that as well as some BMR sway bars before touching your shocks and struts. Go...
  9. Issue with brand new Koni Yellow

Hey all, my adjustment tab on one of my rear shocks is locked up. I installed them today and couldn't get it to adjust. The other 3 shocks and struts adjusted just fine before I got to this one. I ended up putting a wrench below it and then tried to use the small metal adjuster to make it budge...
  10. Metal clunk found

Thank you so much for finding out what this is. I didn't have this noise until after installing differential bushing inserts and the BMR CB005. I thought I messed up and left something loose or not torqued properly since the noise happened after the install. It's been driving me nuts the last 3...
  11. Undersealing ?

The wax coatings is the route I took. Just clean the undercarriage and spray that wax on everything except the rotors. You can get the cans for around 10 euro each here in Germany and I have heard good things about them. I did my car but I have no real world experience with how well it prevents...
  12. Normal Operating Oil Pressure?

My oil pressure hovers around the same numbers while its cold. It's because the oil is cold resulting in higher oil pressure. It drops down to around 50psi while cruising.
  13. Picking Fights with Fast Cars!

I love threads like this. The funny thing is that guy with the hellcat will put a ton of money into his car instead of just working on being a better driver. Ya he needs more tire to handle all that power but he also needs a driver mod.
  14. help chipped perform pack wheel

Buy different wheels man. You can lose 10 pounds of unsprung mass per corner resulting in better gas mileage, faster acceleration and a better handling car. The difference won't be large but with better rubber, you will definitely feel a difference. Try the Michelin pilot super sports or...
  15. Koni Strut and Shock Install with Mustang360 - Article

Thanks Kelly! Once I get my performance springs in the mail, I'll be doing this exact install.
  16. GT handling

Best two handling mods you can do are Michelin pilot super sports (squared) and BMR's CB005. The sticky tires along with a more planted rear end will fix most of your issues. If you still have wheel hop, then get the steeda differential bushing insert kit. Want even better handling, get Koni...
  17. Steeda sway bar grease.

I went with BMR sway bars. They have sipes built into the bushings and are greaseable. The sway bar mounts are also extremely overbuilt so I don't see any possibility of the mounts flexing under heavy load.
  18. Looking to Upgrade Fluid

Make sure you search before you post man. Many people started with Royal purple but even more have switched to BG transmission fluid being sold by Optimum Performance. That's what I have and I love it. It feels even better than my friends car running the RP Synchromax.
  19. Opti-coated!

The clear bra won't stick to a ceramic coating like Opti-Pro.
  20. BMR CB005, boomba vert links and steeda diff bushing insert question

It's hard to describe but it's not a transmission clunk. I know what you're talking about and this is different.
