I was going to make a new thread but here we go.
I concentrated on what I thought I'd find helpful for installation or for those maybe deciding to buy this kit. There are 30 min videos on Youtube that will tell you how to remove the factory bezel. The Rosen one isn't bad.
If you have any...
I already had new components up front, no rears, a 3ch amp, and a 12" sub.All new wiring from Knu Konceptz went in when I installed the amp ect and I ran a set of their 4ch RCAs to my amp with the HU install along with my sat radio antenna. Power wire is running down the right side of the car...
The biggest part is a plastic bracket behind LCD that holds the APIM(?). Basically its a box that has various harnesses running into it. The scosche kit has its own box that all of the cables attach to.
It has to be removed in order for enough depth for an aftermarket HU. A dremel and a...
The install went fine. The trimming was easy with a dremel. I've got some pics but it'll be tomorrow before I'll get them posted with some more details.
The solid circuit board behind the bezel requires something new. I'm sure they're using the LCD touch screens so they can have a reasonably universal component that can go in various kits rather than replicating the stock controls in every vehicle.
I'll be doing the install tomorrow but I took a few pictures of the box and back of the bezel and gave some descriptions of the connections based on the manual. See the updated gallery HERE
There's also a picture of the many cables.
Sync won't work with this kit, not that I will miss it. All...

Here are a few pics. I tried to embed them but the were too big.
As noted, I stuck my Pioneer 8200NEX HU in as a reference.
I don't think the hump is too bad. Before ordering I considered that it might help with glare a bit.
My Scosche kit came today. It was originally scheduled for Friday so I've had to push the install back a week to this coming weekend. I've already got my head unit etc so I shouldn't have any more delays.
Welcome to the forum!
I know what you mean, I spent about $400 on my sub and box. I got a box from zenclosures but their boxes go in the passthough. I think my box was around $180 shipped.
Out of curiosity, where are you going to mount your amp and the AC LC6i?
Dash kits are available now too...
I'll definitely get some pictures. I should have everything for a Saturday install of the 8200NEX. It'll be going in with my already installed JL XD500/3V2 amp, 12" W3 sub, and C5-650 components. I've been happy with everything but I'm really excited to replace the stock head unit.
That was my thinking as well, I have to reset sync too often to miss it.
I was looking at the different Pioneer models and then the price of the 8200 dropped by $300+ dollars I figured I'd go for it.
When I talked with Scosche support they did say that Sync functionality wouldn't be retained but steering wheel controls, USB ports, and camera would. Presumably it would be the same with the Metra unit.
I was leaning toward the Metra kit too. I looked at the 2 options quite a bit and went...
For anyone interested in the Scosche kit, I talked to Scosche support on Friday and they referred me to this youtube video for the F150 as the HVAC screen is the same as the Mustang kit.

I called Metra this week and the rep said they were looking at 2-3 weeks to availability. He also said that there were 54 backorders for it and they usually do runs of 100 units so only 46 of the first run were available. Just something to consider. The rep suggested I get an order placed with...
You can get the linked BOV cheaper through MAP but is listed under universal parts. The flange welded to your hotpipe is for a Turbosmart BOV.
Turbosmart has a plumb back version so that it can vent back into the intake tube like the stock BOV.
I'm calling my dealer in the morning but I was curious what's going on and if there's anything I need to press them on to make sure they fix it.
It's a 2015 EB, no mods aside from a drop in filter, all service done by Ford, 30k miles. No engine related TSBs listed for my car.
I've got oil...
