  1. North Carolina Roll Call!!!

xp0z3d, Mooresville Ford (mooresvilleford.com), where I purchased, has a black premium automatic on the lot. In their "network" (I assume they can get to their lot without extra $$) they can get a white Mach 1 and a yellow GT500. The GT500 will be $20k above sticker, and the other two should...
  2. Unreasonable Dealer Markups

Now end of February '22 and my mid North Carolina dealer hasn't changed. They have all Mustangs, including a couple 2022's for a little below Sticker - except a GT500. It is still $21k over. They didn't have a Mach 1. Their one and only Bronco was at or a little below Sticker.
  3. North Carolina Roll Call!!!

    Richfield here.
  4. Fuel Injector Lifespan

Well, when I traded my Fox body 5.0, it had 255,000 miles on the original injectors. I wouldn't think they would last less time 30 years later. Good injector cleaner additive every 10k miles can't hurt.
  5. New 2021 Mustang 5.0 owner

For a phone mount I have the Course permanent mount ( https://coursemotorsports.com/collections/ford/products/direct-fit-phone-mount-ford-mustang-mustang-gt-gt-350-gt-500-2015-present ). The bracket goes under a radio screw and comes out of the bezel at its edge. A ball mount at the end of...
  6. Unreasonable Dealer Markups

This only works if dealerships choose to compete. Dealerships in my area "network". They advertise vehicles that are in their network - not on their lot. My guess is they all agree on markup. As an example - The dealership I purchased my '21 from has one Mustang on the lot, but advertises 23...
  7. Unreasonable Dealer Markups

Wow, That means I could afford to get a GT500 off the lot. Just wish I could afford the payment !
  8. E-85 Question

Okay, research proves WildHorse correct. On a completely stock Gen 2, a tune will run E85.
  9. NEED A DRIVER

Or, offer to swap LTH and X-pipe for stock. Sure someone in your area would go for that. Stock would have to be AE, as stock cat-back is one piece.
  10. No clutch pedal?

  11. E-85 Question

Just to be specific: The 18+ (Gen 3) Coyote can run E85 with a tune. The Gen 1 and Gen 2 Coyote need fueling upgrades.
  12. Those with Short Shifters

It made it a little notchy, but is a vast improvement over stock. I think the notchy is a result of the shorter throw requiring more force to move shifter (not excessive). And forgot, I put in the transmission mount insert long ago. So, Boomba short shifter, Blowfish bracket, mount insert...
  13. Those with Short Shifters

I went with a Boomba, which removes the factory shift post (the portion above the pivot point that has the shifter knob at its top) and replaces it with a post 1.5" shorter. This is done from above, and reduces shifter throw by 25%. And, no, I am not affiliated with Boomba. Just determined...
  14. Can i get in any trouble selling car with tune?

When I traded my 2017, I put it back to stock with the exception of the H-pipe. I then wrote up a list of everything I had for the car, including the tuner, with prices and put it in the manual package (along with contact info). The next owner contacted me and purchased most of the list...
  15. That exhaust note is like Eve tempting Adam....

Although I like the sound of my '21 with active exhaust, I too prefer the pushrod 5.0 sound. My '89 had equal length shorty headers, no cat h-pipe, and Thrush super turbo mufflers. It sounded GOOD. Regardless of throttle or RPM, it was a nice deep rumble that pleased the ears. I believe our...
  16. How do you jack your car up?

The bellows jack has a telescoping steel tube in its center. It's more stable than a scissors jack. I might use jack only to pull a wheel, but I'm not using jack only, ANY jack, if I'm getting under the vehicle. Also, my jack stands have rubber pads on top (Amazon), they're not removing paint...
  17. How do you jack your car up?

Jacking points I use: Whole car or one side only - jacking rails. Front only - cross member. Rear only - Differential (I'm on my second S550 and have never harmed diff mounts). All of the above I now do with a bellows air jack (less $ than most floor jacks - will lift 6000 lb with 125 psi)...
