  1. Magnaflow Comp AB arrived - pics n stuff

should have used a banana for scale - I can't get a proper idea for the size of those tips
  2. Oz S550 spotted thread

If you blokes had done the right thing in the first place and ordered a guard green with nickel rims you wouldn't be arguing which combos are better because that one is just the best haha :headbonk:
  3. Oz S550 spotted thread

A moment ago outside the post office in West Perth... I don't think the RR driver is on the forums, but i've seen this vehicle driving around west perth before.
  4. WA Mustangs

Also saw probably this same one when having brunch at wild fig cafe in scabs. defs aftermarket exhaust, sounded most delicious.
  5. Whining on manual

Hi peterdee, yep, lots of tranny tunnel noise and I'm pretty sure it's normal. What about a very slight clutch rattle? Do any of you get that? When releasing the clutch there's a very brief rattle noise. I hear it most prominently in parking garages that have walls where the noise bounces off...
  6. Spare Tyre Options for Australian GT

StormR, Gnomes wheel ended up being the 7.0 and it sits about 10 mm proud at the time they didn't do the 6.5, probably still don't do it
  7. Spare Tyre Options for Australian GT

Is that $550 for the Simmons FR with tyre and nuts? That's a great price
  8. [bulk buy] Steeda Clutch Spring 35lbs

It's funny how everyone's experience differs. This clutch is heavier than my 86's (which is now incredibly vague to drive haha) so I actually really like it and have had no problems driving it. It has enough torque to literally release clutch with little to no throttle. I've got quite used to...
  9. Aus-MustangGT's Build

Hi Aus-MustangGT Have you installed a K&N yet? I've seen it pop up in your signature. Wondering if you've got any comments, I've run a K&N in all my cars so I'll probably be doing this. Cheers, Art
  10. For those who are stuck with SYNC 2 / FordTouch

Stubai I reckon SYNC 2 is awesome. You got the 4 corners for the 4 main functions (nav, climate, entertainment, phone interface) and it's so simple and fast enough that I have absolutely no gripes at all
  11. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

But....but I love the way the nose lifts! It's half the drama haha Thanks for the writeup.
  12. Front Number Plate Holder - Discount Code: "Mustang6G" @ LakinPlates

Seriously though I pull it out when parking all day or in dodgy areas and put it on drivers seat so that I don't forget to put it back on. It's really not that big a deal
  13. Front Number Plate Holder - Discount Code: "Mustang6G" @ LakinPlates

The rails (arms?) on my bracket have one cutout each, at different location along the rail. I'm assuming that the non - PP version with (different splitter) mounts at a different offset location when the actual underside bracket is flipped the other way. As far as I can tell, the only...
  14. Front Number Plate Holder - Discount Code: "Mustang6G" @ LakinPlates

Screws to attach bracket to underbody were all good - dealer fitted. Screws provided for plates waay too big and useless, plus my Sto N Sho was trimmed and I drilled new 5 mm holes for M5 bolts. Still looking for the perfect cap head bolts, these will do for now. They're a bit too long...
  15. Current Owners: Mirrors

Aus-MustangGT could be a first batch thing i.e. cars built last year. My colleagues was built in October, missing the ribs on the driver's side. Mine has them on both.
  16. Front Number Plate Holder - Discount Code: "Mustang6G" @ LakinPlates

Yeh licence plate would hit first. It has SUV ground clearance tho, I haven't scraped anything as yet haha The mounting bracket for the PP is reversed as shown, non-PP USA cars have it the other way due to different chin.
  17. Front Number Plate Holder - Discount Code: "Mustang6G" @ LakinPlates

For those wondering what a 'trimmed' Sto N Sho looks like with smallish slimline plates: More pictures and thoughts after I get back on top of work and life which has been temporarily put on hold due to the new baby in my life haha It's so good. I love it.
  18. WA Mustangs

It's very, very good. 18.3 km @ delivery. I was going to go straight to bed but can't get to sleep because I picked up my Mustang at 5:30pm, attended a birthday party at 7pm, just got home, and felt like I haven't driven it enough but i'm too tired to drive it some more. Tomorrow is...
  19. Oil separators / catch cans

Thanks Bob! I'm exactly the same, I like to pull everything apart. Except in my case I can't remember if I pulled off both or just one at a time haha I'll have a good look see. My plans tonight: pick up car from dealer, gently head to folks who live nearby, check over car there, install...
