Hmm, interesting point, Gibbo. Which is more expensive?
What about the connecting rods? According to this article, that is the main weakness in the engine: I don't want to cut corners but also don't want to go crazy spending all this money to reinforce shit...
So in summary: The way to go is:
MMR OPG
MMR CG
ATI Dampener
And if you want to be extra cautious also get The Boss timing chain tensioners.
With that our motor should be safe with Boost in the 600-800rwhp range, correct? (For the most part)
Well I live on Long Island, which is notorious for terrible taffic, and you have a mix of sunday drivers and very aggressive drivers. If you live any kind of comfortable gap between you and the person in front of you people will always shoot in to the open spot. Many people will tailgate you and...
I had a CF DF (Centerforce Dual Friction in my Z06 and was happy with that). This sounds like it might be a good option, and the price is good too:

Roh: I'm with you man and I know exactly what you are talking about...
Yes, so far my plans are:
MMR OPG & CG
ATI Dampener
Shifter (Still have to decide which one to get)
Dyno tune at local shop to get rid of the Roush tune
Lowering springs.
Then eventually new wheels/tires. It has PP wheels and tires for now
Well I think the car will dyno in the 620rwhp range. I'll leave it with the stock clutch for a while and see how it does.
But in preparation: Whats the best aftermarket clutch to go with in terms of easiest to drive in traffic?
Is it really worth it it to buy the entire FRPP oil pump over just the MMR OPG? What are the benefits? I thought the only possibly point of failure on the stock pump was the gears.
I'm a cash buyer ready to buy, but the motor actually shutting down @ 6k rpm (over and over again) with that weird display on your screen is definitely not normal and not just a standard Roush tune thing. Your thread ended unresolved, and now you are selling. Is there possibly an electrical...
Yeah that's exactly what I read somewhere is about the harmonics, and how a new balancer or dampner would help that out. But it seems most just do the OPG and CG/TG
Is the crank gear the same as "timing"?
Also, I've heard some people mention crank dampener as well.
To be clear what are all the safeguards? Is it basically just the oil pump gears and crank gear that needs to be done? Or should you also do a dampener and all new timing gears...
IN A...
I'm actually looking for a car just like this (made a WTB post like a month ago). I'd prefer a whipple, but wouldn't mind a procharger, and I specifically wanted those safeguard mods like the MMR OPG. The only thing I don't like about the car is the loud exhaust. Don't know why so many people do...
Interested but the price is a bit steep considering you can get a brand new one from the dealer roushcharged and warranted for $39.9k.
How flexible is your price?
Also, any issues at all with the car? (Other than a lack of traction, haha)
