Believe me, I did. I felt sick for hours. Wife told me to just buy a new wheel and it made my illness go away. Going to stay off that stretch of highway until the paving is complete.
Today I ordered a new 600 dollar rim. I was on I95 and my back rear pass side got swallowed in a pit hole during road construction. Scraped it up pretty good. I will try to fix this one and use it as a spare.
My setup is similar to Paul mentions above. I have a 20 inch rim but the widtch and offsets are pretty much the same. The setup seems to take up all the extra space in the wheel well. Looks good.
Didn't catch me. I just enjoy a good debate. I also love arguing with all these guys who obsess over track time and the weight of their cars. Anyone who feels the need to rip out the rear seats, take out their sound tube, take out floor mats etc, etc to lighten the car up by a pound or two gives...
I would say to each his own. For me, the 18 inch tires looks lost in the wheel well. As far as tire choices, I just replaced my tires and I had a choice of the tires I was interested in and went with the BFG G Force tires which are a great tire, so if you can get a great tire, that takes away...
My car is just a daily driver but after seeing cars with smaller tires and all that room between the tire and the wheel wells, I just like the look of a lowered car with 20inch wheels. After having the larger wheels when I look at cars with a large space in the wheel wells it just looks weird to...
MOST people don't judge the performance of their car on a drag race, 1/4 mile etc. Most people cannot even approach these statistics you quote with any car...period. People judge the performance of their car on how fast they can downshift and get past the semi truck slowing down the traffic on a...
No doubt. You are correct. Most of us drive and use the power like you describe. And for those uses our manuals are awesome. That is really my point. Manuals are more than fast enough off the line and perform incredible for how MOST people use them.
That is fine but the assumption that a manual car in not a performance vehicle is just not valid, is it? If you like to drag race I agree. Tell me how, outside of drag racing that a manual car is not equal or better than an auto car.
I know you agree that the advantage in a multi lap race of...
Whatever. Not sure why everyone feels the need to be a dick on here. It is supposed to be for helping one another out. Not a day goes by where the insults have to fly.
How is having a manual "posing"? Are you saying that manuals do not have good performance? Sure...off the line the auto has them beat, but last time I checked, I am not drag racing every day beating minivans and SUVs off the line. If you knew how to drive a stick you would appreciate the...
No nibbles on these great tires. If my price is too high, please make me an offer. These are incredible tires, I just cannot use them for how I drive the car. I put a lot of miles on it and need a more durable tire that can withstand some snow from time to time. MAKE ME AN OFFER
