Today I ordered a new 600 dollar rim. I was on I95 and my back rear pass side got swallowed in a pit hole during road construction. Scraped it up pretty good. I will try to fix this one and use it as a spare.

My setup is similar to Paul mentions above. I have a 20 inch rim but the widtch and offsets are pretty much the same. The setup seems to take up all the extra space in the wheel well. Looks good.

I would say to each his own. For me, the 18 inch tires looks lost in the wheel well. As far as tire choices, I just replaced my tires and I had a choice of the tires I was interested in and went with the BFG G Force tires which are a great tire, so if you can get a great tire, that takes away...

No doubt. You are correct. Most of us drive and use the power like you describe. And for those uses our manuals are awesome. That is really my point. Manuals are more than fast enough off the line and perform incredible for how MOST people use them.

My tires are larger than most stock mustangs hence the higher pressure. I am running 275/305 35ZR20, so that may be the difference in pressures.
