Fellow GD owner. My GT is my wife's DD. I'd say take the wife and test drive the stick and see what she says. My wife has zero issues driving it everyday. It is a way lighter throw (although much longer) then the STI if that's her basis of no MT this time. Based on what you're saying...
With the move to IRS platform on the GT, the base PP GT became what I was looking for out of a upgrade to the BRZ that hasn't come (albeit heavier and larger). My usual mods to cars should make this platform even better.
If they'd kick out a BRZ / STI Id deal with a so- so interior, no problem. I prefer a KISS interior anyways. And creaks and rattles, well I've been living with my STI for almost 10 yrs, haha.
If they'd quit screwing around and offer a BRZ / STI package keeping the RWD goodness (305 hp, stout 6MT w/LSD, Brembos, BBS w/real rubber, but keep off pokemon wings and exterior gidgets) they'd have alot of buyers currently going elsewhere. I've been holding out for one and finally said...
Move that thing out of front and center for us MT guys and put the tach (larger) and in its proper place (center). Whoever thought the lower left for a tach was a good place......
A gauge to tell you what gear you're in with a MT?! Geez.... Obviously not mc riders....
Haha, Thx. The ringlands, I guess I understand, because its more of a PITA for a fix from Subaru. But a easy and cheap fix by replacing a POS oil pickup tube since all the way back to the beginning is BS. I put in a Killer B setup right away.
Hmmm interesting. I wouldn't think there'd be any more of a restriction on its design over JLT. I prefer the Airaid setup as it looks better at keeping engine bay heat out, being a sealed unit. I heard there is an insert for guys not wanting to tune with the Airaid. Any chance the insert...
Same here. Been clenching my fists, like a lot of guys for a STI BRZ. Still waiting for one to replace my 06 STI. The S550 was the closest fit off my short list, when the latest gen of STI fell flat when I took it out for a run (back to back with my Modded 06). Especially the cash outlay...
Good choice. I've seen a lot of C7 owners looking like this..... Just kidding, both are good cars. Welcome. Would have been hard for me to pass up on that GT 350 that was on your list though... Justa saying...:)
Yeah it has to be mounted at front of vehicle, dash doesnt fly. When I bought mine, there was zero issue about the dealer not installing it, when I told em leave it off. They put it in the trunk and reminded me it was required to have the front plate installed when the plates show up. Id...
Congrats bud. Id say the hard parts of transporting em aren't over till they're in booster seats, so you have awhile, haha. Id say dealing with a car seat without carrier seems like a good idea, till the first time you or mama are pulling out a screaming kidlet. They like to sleep on drives...
Haha, you must mean the OP. The Mustang just sees my wife and I. No way I'd wish that pain on either of my grown kids now. And no way in hell I'd of dealt with my kids (20 & 13 now) as infants and all the baggage in a 2 Dr coupe. Especially these days when there's so many great four...
You WILL want a carrier. You sure as hell do not want to be waking up your infant everytime you take em out of the car. You're gonna cherish the times they're asleep (at least the first few yrs). I wish you the best of luck dealing with a newborn / infant and Mustang. My oldest is 20...
