Went for a cruise yesterday with my local club to celebrate National Mustang Day! We had about 15 or so Mustangs from all generations take part in the event. Naturally, we got TONS of stares and smiles from other cars and people on the streets, with the exception of one Camaro, who we ran off...
I got to drive the car a lot yesterday at various speeds and through some light traffic and wanted to give my feedback on the shifter and other upgrades I did over the weekend. To put it bluntly, the Tri-Ax rocks! It is a fantastic piece of hardware. The shifts are short, crisp and solid. It...
Do you folks realize that this thread is a year and a half old, and that the thread starter himself hasn't even posted on this forum since April 2015? You're wasting your breath.
Exactly. People can rationalize and justify buying darn near anything if they REALLY want it. If you want the GT and can afford it, then get it!
That being said, when I got my car last fall, I couldn't even fathom buying a Mustang that doesn't have a V8 and a manual transmission. I'm...
Not yet. Since today is National Mustang Day though, I'm going on a cruise this afternoon with my local club. It's not an S550-exclusive club, so there will be a great mix of all generations. The weather is going to be gorgeous here in central NC, with full sunshine and an afternoon high of 72...
Well, after nearly 10 hours today, I finally completed installing the remaining parts I ordered! I also currently have an ice pack on my back as I type this.
First were the jacking rails, because I needed to use them to get under the car in the first place. After figuring out which side...
Yep. Bought the car October 2015. Joined M6G last month. What convinced me to buy was a combination of my long-time love of Mustangs (since the '93 GT) together with seeing the S550s around town and my research of them online. Finding M6G was just like an added bonus. :D
If I'm going above 40mph, my IAT are indeed just a few degrees above ambient. Of course, this is dependent on the accuracy of both the temp readout on my dash screen and my Sync screen.
To the OP, my intake whistles slightly if I hold the pedal down to a certain spot. My connections are all...
You'll get LOTS of opinions with this question, so I'll just give my $0.02 on the subject. I've been really happy with my Steeda ProFlow CAI and 93 octane tune. I bought the Ultimate Induction Power Pack directly from Steeda. I didn't get baseline Dyno numbers before the installation though, so...
I don't think that slight bulge is anything to worry about. The outside diameters of the aluminum tube and the plastic tube are different, so the section where it downsizes may appear as a bulge.
When I first installed the intake, that sleeve as well as the one that goes to the throttle body...
Enjoy it! It is niiiiice.
Strut tower brace went in today! The Tri-Ax shifter along with the trans mount bushing and diff bushings are going in first thing Saturday morning!
Oh, and I also managed to fully remove the intake sound tube. I used a small 8" long flex-head 10mm...
Return? What return? We owed over a grand this year!
Maybe the wife and I should have had kids for the deductions? Oh wait, then less money for car parts. OK, I'm still cool with no kids.
Roush AB and H-pipe here too. Welcome to the club!
No water and no regrets with my...
If you're worried about air leakage around the sleeve or it isn't fitting right, try warming it up just a bit with a hair dryer first. It'll be more pliable and will fit better.
Also, I would NOT use an impact driver on the screw clamps. A ratchet, sure, but definitely not an impact driver. Too...
Sheesh, $100k for a Mustang? No, thanks. If I had that kind of money to throw at a car, I'd be picking up a new Nissan GT-R or a used 911 turbo. To each his own though, I suppose. When did people start becoming OK with dropping $100k on a domestic sports car? As it is, my Mustang GT cost more...
Ugh, I WISH it was that easy. If I had my wife listen to a GT350 exhaust and told her it was a big reason I wanted one, she'd say "why can't you just get that exhaust sound from your car?" She's not a car person and simply couldn't register the big differences between the Coyote and the Voodoo...

I live in central NC and just had to pay my annual vehicle tax and license plate registration bill last month (they combine them here). For everything together, the whole bill was about $360. I have a...
