You've been able to order a 2018 in the UK since early October, not that it was advertised as they had and still have a heap of 2017s to get rid of. As Wolf said, many have already been built, including mine and should be here by end of March.

I had no response from email either but mine is built and should be gate released this week. Email from dealer yesterday suggests it will be here early March but I find that quite optimistic.
Mine was built on the 4/1/2018 or 1/4/2018 for you yanks. Window sticker shows all details correct and now just a train ride, couple of boat rides and a trip up to Scotland to go before I finally have my ride. Only been waiting since I initially ordered a 2017 in October 2016 and they ordered...
Once you register on Etis it works fine. I couldn't get anywhere with research maniacs on my phone but was able to get my window sticker today on my work computer without issue. Should be sitting in my new ride by late April at the latest.
My choice would be the fastback as that's what I've gone for. However., I live in scotland and mine will be a daily driver so it made no sense getting the soft top.
