I anticipated some noise cuz I didn’t go for the $450 for rem polishing. (As far as I was told that’s what the rem polishing did...got rid of some of that noise) I def have some noise in 1-4 if the windows are up but if they’re down I can’t hear it at all. However, I noticed I don’t have that...
I just installed my Calimer Stage 3 and upgraded the input shaft to 26 spline. (No extra cost with Ben to swap to the 26 spline) Had the RST in the car with the stock MT82 for a year. Speaking with Ben directly about my setup I told him my use and goals for power with the car and he said he has...
I contacted Whipple directly about this today. They’re sending me out their plug for this for free. I have a Gen 3 on the 3.375”. They had no concern regarding plugging it.
Finally delivered to my shop a few weeks ago and got it installed last week. Currently breaking in the clutch. Upgraded to the RXT 1200 from the RST as Ben told me he has a few customers running it with no issue. I didn’t have mine REM polished for the additional $450. You can def hear gear...
On a dyno jet and STD correction it made 821/613. I’ve since dropped down to a Griptec 3.375” but haven’t been back to the dyno. In the process of swapping out the stock MT82 for the Calimer Stage 3 that finally arrived.
Fantastic info!!
Do you guys have the ambient temps during the tests?
What level of tank setup is on the car?
Which pump?
5 or 7 gallon tank?
What size of AN fittings?
Nothing else different than what I listed that I currently have on the car. It was tuned by Alex at Lund for that setup as well. 3.625” pulley and 93 with lower timing. I wanna say I had the stock PP wheels/tires on the car for the dyno so I wouldn’t have my drag radials on the dyno.
I had plans on ordering a new GT350 (non R) wheel from white Bear Lake this week. They don’t sell the R version any more from what I can tell. I ordered the bezels for it already cuz the wheel doesn’t ship with them. Dropped them off last Monday to get wrapped in satin black. Not a chrome guy ha.
I’m about to put on a 3.375” myself and when I called Whipple I was told to try the 105.4”. I have a 105.8” on hand as well to be able to try a couple sizes. They told me on the phone that what month you ordered the kit will be the determining factor on which size belt to run.
I have this current setup that’s tuned by Alex at Lund. He has me capped at 22* since I only have OPG/CS. I have 1 7/8” catless Texas Speed long tubes and a Krona catback. Got rid of the bottle neck so it’s full 3” all the way thru. On a dynojet last Oct I put down 821/613 STD correction. The...
If this is a legitimate improvement over the Whipple branded pulley then the 10-rib guys are in for a treat since they’re already paying $180.00 for a pulley directly from the Whipple website. (Dunno if any vendors ever do deals on Whipple pulleys) These Griptec are $179.00 for a 10-rib on the...
I kinda figured the 325/30 may have a tall enough sidewall since it’s a wider tire but just wasn’t sure of how it’d look so I skipped both the 315 and 325 and played it kinda “safe” and went w the 305/35 haha. I imagine next set I’ll go wider. Really wish it came in a 305 or 315 19” with a 35...
