I just wish I knew for certain what avalanche gray looks like. If it's a solid gloss color (e.g. Like on a tool box or gym locker) I'll pass. If it's really more of a dark silver metallic (not as dark as Magnetic, of course) then that would be my first choice. Otherwise I might go with DIB...
I sincerely hope Ford intends to sell it world wide. Mustang fans around the globe deserve the chance to enjoy one and increased production numbers for markets around the world should help keep the price down, even if only marginally. :D
A bit over 500 hp sounds reasonable to me. Apparently the videos show a naturally aspirated engine. My guess is you'd need some sort of forced induction to get it up to 600 hp.
A man can dream, can't he? Besides, I still think Ford intends to position the GT350 as a Boss replacement and will price it accordingly. If I don't get everything I want at the detail level but still get the overall driving experience I'm looking for? I'll be happy with that. :)
I recently drove a BMW M5 over the course of a weekend. That beast makes 560 hp and 502 lbs-ft of torque. It has a 7000 rpm red line. I'm no expert, but that seems pretty high-reving to me. The car was a joy to drive. Its major drawback being that it weighs about 4300 lbs. So if ford offers...
Personally, I'm looking for a high performance weekend road trip fun-mobile. A few creature comforts will be helpful for maximizing the enjoyment I get out of a fantastic engine, transmission, suspension, and handling set-up. For those who want a track-devouring, z/28-withering, fire-breathing...
I think the subtle stripes on the red CDC SEMA car look terrific and really accent the natural lines of the S550. More creative thinking in that sort of direction would be welcome. :)
I'm with you, Backorder. I'll be both surprised and disappointed. I really would like the GT350 to be priced as a Boss 302 replacement; not as a GT500 replacement.
So I don't know anything about big automotive corporation marketing events and I'm sure I'm missing something here, but November 17th is a Monday. Wouldn't make better sense to have a big reveal on a Saturday when a lot of potential customers are off work and can watch the event on TV (assuming...
I have been a Mustang fan since I was a little kid and I will continue to be. And as a fan, my message to Ford regarding this QC problem is very simple: fix it; whatever it takes. This is the 21st century. There are no good excuses left for this sort of stuff. Find out how the panel alignment...
Is it possible this was/is a QC issue that got past inspectors at FRAP? Is be interested to see if any other folks have noticed this problem. I'd also be interested to see some feedback/reaction from someone Ford-connected to understand if this is an issue they're aware of.
I can only imagine that Ford has its own big plan for rolling out all of its S550 models, but it seems to me that the tuners (Hennessy, Roush, Saleen etc.) are currently eating Ford's lunch as far as potential GT350 customers are concerned. And as others have pointed out, performance car buyers...
