This seems to be the new up and coming trend with Lund. A lot of folks over on the S550 FB group have been mentioning Lund’s poor customer service recently. I’m not tuned at all or knocking Lund, just mentioning what I’ve observed.
I don’t think you or your car will notice a difference. I usually run a full synthetic but with my ford pass points I picked up the blend since it was half the price at the dealership. With how cheap full synthetics are these days there’s really no reason not to run one. But either is fine...
I gotcha, can’t go wrong with either one. Over on BITOG there’s people who have taken Ford engines to 300-400k on the blend only. Obviously plenty of others who have used full syn with the same end result. I think the MC blend is overpriced for what it is, but it’s still good oil. At the current...
Just out of curiosity, have you ever heard of a car having an engine failure as a result of using a synthetic blend instead of full syn? Did cars only make it to 36k or 60k back in the day before “full” synthetics were easily available and accessible and everyone was running around on conventional?
That’s why I do my own maintenance. I’ll buy the parts from them for free using points and do the maintenance for free myself lol
Engine won’t know a difference. My car is daily driven, if I was racing or tracking the car I’d definitely use a full synthetic. But for my daily routine a blend is...
What did you pay for your oil if you don’t mind me asking? I got the synthetic blend for $4.85 a quart. They wanted over $9 a quart for full synthetic at multiple dealerships here where I live.
Bought the Mustang last May… never knew how the FordPass point system worked until last week on FB after seeing someone ask what to redeem their points on. Guess I never thought to look into it, and I do all the maintenance on the car myself so I assumed it was only for quick lane services. Long...
Same exact thing happened to me my first time. I made a huge mess in the garage. Had to drive to Auto Zone with the wife’s car to buy some absorbent. Happened again the second time but it wasn’t quite as bad. Eventually went out and bought a 16 quart open pan, from there I just pour it back into...
Changed my oil yesterday and immediately noticed this tapping sound. I did have the “tick” for the first thousand miles or so after my last oil change, but this sound is new to me. I only hear it once the car is warmed up. Any thoughts?
Did an oil change at 11,400mi with PUP 5w-30 back in April. Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, odometer reads 13,500; I did my weekly check and added 1/3 quart of oil because it was getting close to the bottom dot on the dip stick. Today I checked it again, about 500 mile later and it was close...
Hello all, are the Coyote engines hard on oil? I know the ecoboost are due to the turbos and very high temps they reach also mixed with the fact that they are TGDI so they get a lot of fuel dilution, but the coyotes being both direct and port injection and NA shouldn’t be as hard on oil correct...
