Giving this a bump in case somebody has removed their GT/CS mount and didn't break it. Still haven't found one. I can get the chrome bits, but not the black mount that goes between the pony and the grille.
Well, that's the problem! The $50 part is ONLY the pony. There's a black piece that goes between the pony and the grille and that seems to only be sold with the whole $800 grille. I've posted on here and Reddit and nobody seems to
I have not, although I have reset the DTCs and actually reflashed the car.
The fuel system ready always seems to end up ready when I take a long drive but everything gets weird when I'm doing a lot of start/stop city driving. That with the lack of signal on two O2 sensors that I mentioned...
Man, every time I see this thread I'm so annoyed that the previous owner of my car removed the grille pony and the rear badge (and sanded the trunk panel, which made it look like garbage). I have a blank back panel (18+ style) and that's not so bothersome, but I REALLY want the grille pony...
So, I did a semi-stupid thing which sort of solve parts of the issues I was having.
I flashed the 93-octane tune from my now-deceased 15 GT onto the car.
What I've discovered is that the tune that was on the car was indeed set to ignore the the O2 sensors. It also seems that it was manually...
Alright, this weekend did not go as planned, but I definitely need to do this.
@Wolfys11, if I make changes to the tune with the SCT device and write that to the car would that not then be the tune?
I ask because my only previous experience tuning was using a pre-made tune from Bama on my...
I've been poking around to figure out if my SCT Rev-X/BDX is able to make changes to O2 sensors and it seems that it can. The options just seem to be buried in menus. WITHOUT MAKING ANY CHANGES I'm going to plug it in and see what things look like, maybe after work today, if work doesn't destroy me.
Actually, no CEL before or since. That's probably pushing more towards it being something in the tune, huh?
The fact that I've been driving it daily and it still hasn't cleared... First check the tune then replace the O2 sensors?
Yes, brand new StainlessWorks/StainlessPower SM24HCAT headers with cats from @beefcake.
I've been driving it daily for the past couple weeks and even went on a drive for a couple hours this past Saturday but the fuel system is still coming up as not ready.
That's what my brother's wondering...
So, it looks like I would have passed inspection here in Jersey if I didn't get a "Not Ready" status for the fuel system. Literally the only thing they dinged me for was the "Not Ready" status for the fuel system.
Now the full story, as short as I can make it without rambling, is that the...
That's why it's utterly insane that manufacturers, starting with GM apparently, are baking in their own systems instead of relying on Android Auto and CarPlay. They're making themselves more work, creating added expense on their part, and creating eventual e-waste. Google and Apple know that...
Yes, and if you even bothered to read my thread you'd realize that's missing the piece that actually connects with the grille. Not sure why I bother using words and posting pictures, though, because it seems like users of the Internet as a whole just respond with whatever the heck they feel like...
I mean, if I wanted to slap any ol' thing on there I imagine I already would have. I'm trying to correct previous hackery, not perpetrate more of it, and as such I feel I was pretty specific in what I'm looking for.
If I'm reading these diagrams from other posts correctly you should have voltage between pins 2 and 6 with the headlights on. Pin 3 is the bright for the outside, pin 4 for the middle, and pin 5 for the inner.
