A few years late but came across this thread in hopes of answering a similar question. I've got a Roush x-pipe with the stock active exhaust, and I wanted to know how the car would sound with headers as well but keeping the stock mufflers. I want more loud and chance for more power but without...
I have only owned my mustang for right at a year now and already have multiple interesting encounters on the road (almost every time I was just cruising and not racing or cutting up), some include:
Bullied by a GTR R35
Chased down by a chevy spark going 120+ because she was mad that I passed her...
Unfortunately for me, not only do they illuminate white, but are quite bright.
Good news is after doing some research, looks like TX says amber and white accent lights on the sides of vehicles are fine. Since I do still have the stock red reflectors on the rear bumper and the new lights are...
Interesting, did not know that. But I am also just going off of what they are advertised as. Everything we can buy online that is a Clear/White Lens gets labeled as "Euro style" since typically NA tail and accent lights come with red tint.
This is true, I figured it would depend on the cop, but you never know. I've seen people do blatant illegal things in from of cops and they didn't care, but I've also seen them ticket for the smallest infraction.
They are the side marker lights, so they are on the rear quarter panels. They aim more out than back but was just curious of what everyone else's experiences have been
PS: for anyone looking to get a pair of Euro style side markers - check out KDM lights on amazon ($25). I bought the Euro style V2 from American Muscle ($85), and they turned out to just be resold KDM lights.
Not a sponsor or anything, just like to help out fellow car enthusiasts save money
Just installed a pair of Euro (Clear lenses with white LEDs) rear reflectors and after doing a little research, I have learned that apparently any non-red rear reflectors are technically illegal in Texas. I went with the euros as I have a dark colored car, the euro side markers pair well with...
Does anyone know what the off the shelf parts are?
Just tried to order the Steeda delete kit, said they would not ship to my location because I was a new customer. Did not tell me until 3 days after the order was placed that it is on backorder and would take up to 2 business weeks to get back...
Just like the title says, I am looking for anyone selling any used OEM 2018+ Mach 1 front end parts (bumper cover, top and bottom grills, side vents, upper and lower lips, underbelly pan, inner fender liners, etc. Any color does not have to be perfect just moderate or better condition.
If you...
Haven't removed mine yet, I will soon, but my thought process is I want to hear more of the actual exhaust and what's going on with the car rather than intake noise pumped into the cabin. Plus, the things are kind of ugly and (in my opinion) unnecessary. So for $20 I get a slightly cleaner...
Curious to hear from anyone who has boosted (Supercharged or Turbocharged) their s550. Which one did you choose and why, would you do it again, would you go a different route if you could do it over, and what path would you recommend to keep the car running as reliable as possible?
If you're really worried about getting the right things to plug up the holes, Steeda makes a sound tube delete kit for about $20
Steeda 555 3210 Mustang GT Sound Tube Delete Kit (15-23)
Hers a screenshot of the listing, looks like there is a little damage on it which may be why it's pretty cheap, but it does look very similar to the 777/ExtremeOnlineStore/Vicrez ones and as long as the mounts work then it may still be worth it. I'm taking a look at it in person later this week...
Awesome, thank you again for the help, it will be quite some time before I get started on switching the front end, but I am trying to get as much information as possible while I can. Someone nearby on FB marketplace was selling one of the aftermarket 2018+ Mach 1 conversions for $320 so I was...
Not quite sure, the photos on the sites do not quite match up to OP's photo posted above, so I'm not sure if those are different parts entirely or if they simply use the PP1 diagram photos for the Mach 1 belly pan. Either way I appreciate y'all's help
Looking into doing a Mach 1 front end conversion on my GT using as many OEM Mach 1 parts as possible (which has led me to this thread). I was wondering if anyone has an updated link to a Mach 1 belly pan? All of the links that Benny posted earlier in the thread all take me to a page that says...
How difficult was it to transplant those turn signal assembly brackets over? I would much rather run the newer/more functional lights if possible. I would also rather spend a little extra money on an aftermarket bumper cover for parts than run the risk of starting a fire by me messing with wiring.
I know this thread is years old at this point, but as I recently got my first mustang and have loved the way the Mach 1 front end looks, I have been thinking of doing a front-end conversion myself and this thread has been super helpful however one thing still does not make sense to me.
The...
