Easily fixable, except I live in MA. My guy has fixed much worse for my wheels. I'm sure you can find someone local. Your best bet is to search for someone that focuses on high end wheels, i.e. custom, Porsche, Mercedes, etc.

Hopefully the weather cooperates. If it's your first time you'll enjoy it immensely. Always a great opportunity to have fun, meet fellow enthusiasts with similar interests, and develop contacts.

Aesthetically to much tire in view outbound of the body contour. Would break up to air flow. the body flow on any vehicle with the tire sticking out so far. Also cuts down the aerodynamics on the car, i.e. more resistance to air flow.

As it has been mentioned here the answer to the original question varies greatly depending on each particluar drivers skill at the track. An answer applicable to an infrequent, lesser experienced driver, will have almost no relevance for a dedicated high time committed track enthusiast.
