Thanks Grimace, I need to type out my responses/questions a little more thorough. I was refrencing (in my head, not typed out) the minor differneces Lund didwhen testing/tuning. Touhg call on the CJ as it is still substantially more than the boss, maybe I can find a deal like you did from a...
There is no question on that, my question is, will it benefit from more tuning and make even more substatial gains? If more time is spent on tuning, could we possibly see even less loss of torque due to the better flowing heads of the 15? Maybe unlock even more hp with more tuning changes. I...
I guess what it comes down to is, I want the high revving 5.0 but don't really want to spend another 1600 on getting the CJ. Getting into the boss for less would be great
Thanks for the quick answer grimace. I meant unproven on the 15, but problably just do to lack of testing.
That makes the boss a cheap upgrade as I have seen the boss manifold for 489.00. Do you feel a more comprehensive tune would yield better results on the 15 with the boss manifold?
Grimace,
are you running the factory throttle body? Would the boss manifold on a 15 benefit from a 90mm tb? Do you think with this motor and some more tuning it would be benificial or a Un necessary expense? I love the idea of revving and making power to 7800 and the cj is about 500.00 more...
Also, 460+ at the wheels is gt350 power and the 7800 redline everyone wants. try this on for size;
Mustang GT premuim with pp...38000
New wheels/tires...3400 (forgestar f14s with conti extreme dw 275 and 315)
Suspension mods...1000 (bmr toe rods, vert links, cb 005 kit, lower Springs)
Engine...
This is the same thing I have been thinking, the only test I have seen was with a boss manifold, stock tb and minor tuning changes. It was 440 hp. I can't help but think that if the 11-14 coyote made around 462rwhp with a cj, then this platform should at least do that.
