Actually genius, I became a troll in this posting because of all the negative comments made by people like you. Some on here are so touchy about their cars that even someone who is just interested in the topic and asks a question gets attacked or ridiculed because they would DARE question the...
I was the one being attacked. I was just counter punching. The Saleen I drive is hardly specialty. A few extra HP, some lowering springs, different front/rear bumpers, a wing and some wheels. Paid less than a premium package. But nice try. Mine was less than 50k
GT500 is a special car though....not for me because I cannot handle that much power as a daily driver, but special. You have a great point with the Vette though!!
I agree if it were the GT500 but not the GT350....cue the angry GT350 owners...but that is my opinion having driven just about every muscle car out there.
I just wanted to thank you paranoid Shelby owners who paid for the Shelby name. I was really bored at work today and you helped me pass the time. I really don't care what car you drive at all, it is just fun to have a good debate from time to time. I don't take it personally like many of you...
I am glad you are enjoying it. That was not my intention. It was to understand what the differences were to make it worth the extra $$$$. But of course everyone has to take things personal on here and get mad and insult one another.
Your car is beautiful and I wish you the best of luck with it.
Learn to read...first step. As I said already I drove the damned thing. this post is the closest to explaining anything at all but still does address handling.
You absolutely can upgrade the brakes on a GT, even if it is aftermarket, which has been my point.
Adding a supercharger totally...
Also...your response here is exactly what I was saying....everyone wants to play "Gotcha" and troll instead of having an intelligent conversation about a topic.
I don't drive automatics so shoot me for missing that. I drove 6 speeds only. But of course noone is telling me the specifics of why their beloved GT350 handles better than the GT Premium with PP. It just is so because you say it is so.
The reality is, if you go into something with a...
Again, specifically what is giving that to you? What is the real difference other than words....that is what I am not seeing. I look over the specs and do not see that much difference to justify it. It is not about affordability for me because I pay cash for my cars, but don't spend additional...
Understood. I am not talking about a bone stock GT, I was talking about the GT Premium with the performance packages and magnaride. What you do NOT say here is what SPECIFICALLY makes this vehicle worth so much more money.
1. Not Horsepower - At 525, a Supercharger puts the GT over 600
2. Not...
One of the downfalls of this forum is that people immediately go into defensive mode and call someone else stupid, laugh at them or dismiss their questions out of hand. The purpose of forums like this is to share knowledge, ask questions, learn from others and learn more about the cars we drive...
Just a simple question really. No reason to get dramatic about it. I just don't see the benefit of buying a 3 year old vehicle for what you could set up a brand new one to be very close to. A GT Premium with the performance package and magnaride suspension then adding a supercharger should be...
I hate to sound like a contrarian here, but what is so special about a GT350. I get the GT500 for sure. The GT350 gives you a little over 500 HP which for the difference you can add a supercharger, better wheels, and some stripes on a GT Premium with PP and have essentially the same care except...
I don't know about that. From my experience on the forums it is all the Automatic Drivers saying how much faster their cars are. In real life what I hear from people is that they cannot drive a manual and wish they could. I have no appreciable give a shit on what other people drive, I just know...
Exactly!!! I can count on one hand how many times I have used 6th gear. I use it on the highway when there are a lot of cars ahead/around me and I am not getting anywhere fast. I just pop it in 6th and cruise quietly for a while.
