Ford already does this though without any 3rd party stuff being installed. Technically you have to "opt-in" to Fordpass, but they are definitely collecting and selling your data to 3rd parties.

I'd say, yeah everyone is in this boat now. The insurance companies didn't come out with these stupid "Safe driving" apps to offer discounts, they did it to collect data on how people drive. They are using that data to base insurance rates on. I'd go one step further to speculate the "real"...

I doubt it. The Dayton is a great sub. The biggest limiting factor will always be the amp, and in this scenario the stock amp just isn't getting it done.

Just a heads up for anyone reading through this thread.... Installing an aftermarket sub in the stock enclosure and connecting it to the stock amp is a complete waste of time and money. I went through the process of installing the Dayton DVC sub in the stock enclosure and the result was so far...

Your B&O sub must be different from the one I pulled out. Mine measured 4 Ohm at each coil.

The B&O is dual 4 ohm, not dual 8 ohm.

For anyone following along at home, the Dayton sub referenced in this thread does NOT fit the factory B&O box unless you use a spacer. The box isn't deep enough, and the magnet hits the bump in the bottom of the box. I was determined to file the speaker hole large enough to put it in, just to...

Does anyone know the impedance of the dual voice coils on the stock B&O sub? Also, the mounting depth available in the stock enclosure? I've seen some folks having success replacing the driver in the stock enclosure, but it seems hit or miss as to what spec sub they put in.

Out of curiosity, what were the difficulties in making it fit?

I don't think mine is near as good as most of you are getting. When I fill up I've never seen the miles to empty read more than 211.

In the FordPass app you can document it at Vehicle Details -> Service & Support Tab -> Service History -> Add Record

I think this is just part of having the car connected to Ford Pass. I don't think you can turn it off. Which makes sense if you think about it since if someone sells a car the new owner would be notified it's connected and being tracked. Amen to that
