Yes Iron X goes on after your car has been washed. The idea of it is that it breaks down the iron deposits that get imbedded in the clear coat. Exhaust, regular driving, and good quality break pads will dust like nuts. (On my GTR my wheels would basically be completely purple due to this)...
Yeah, Iron X soap is a bit redundant. You will be amazed how much iron is on your car. I have a dedicated Iron X sponge, very soft. I soak the car up (after wash) and spray on the Iron X. With the water on the car you stretch your product a lot farther. Doesn't need pressure, just enough to...
For interior my go to is Einszett 1Z Cockpit Premium. Clean, not oil, matte finish. Best stuff I have found for non leather interior surfaces. If really dirty Einszett 1Z Deep Plastic Cleaner is where it is at, black black black finish and striped of all garbage, follow up with Cockpit premium.
22ple is a great product as well. I would consider giving it a try for sure. I have enough CQuartz UK left to do my car so I will be using that rather than getting something new. If it was gone however, 22ple would be near the top of the list for sure.
I am totally converted to coatings. I really like CQuartz vs Opti-Coat, but both are essentially the same thing. Opticoat is permanent, if the correct paint preparation is conducted, and will last basically until you remove it through compounding. CQuartz will last about 1.5 years and then...
I would say Magnetic. I had also given CO some consideration but worried about my long term satisfaction with a colour that in your face. I enjoy the stealthier look of the Magnetic and how the black PP wheels pair with it.
As for the Recaros, I would get them. After having them in my GTR I...
Many choice, all will depend on the size and severity of the scratch. Options could range from an application cycle with Langka or similar product, to wet sanding, up to a panel respray. Some photos might help narrow that down. You need to basically level the paint, by either filling the...
Kind of depends on the look you want. The Adam's stuff is to 'wet' looking for my personal tastes. I prefer something that is 'black' but not 'wet'. I enjoy products by Pinnacle, also Chemical Guys and AMMO NYC.
@ Diode Dynamic - Have you taken the exterior lights off your site until the new ones arrive? I only see interior options, nothing external i.e.: switchbacks
CGs makes some great stuff, I have a few of their products. Really like their wash products. As for their towels, I exclusively use stuff from Microfiber Madness or theragcompany.com now. Nothing matches their quality I have found, and since washing/drying will mar up your paint instantly I...
I haven't tried that product. A wax has a finite lifespan. Optimal ratings of 4 months could change depending on the user, method of application, and care taken between waxes. If you are using a harsh washing product your lifespan could be reduced.
Sealing is a last step procedure, regardless of if you are using a wax, sealant, or coating. All do different things, have different life spans, and different methods of application.
I used to always use wax, really enjoyed the process. After moving to coatings I use them exclusively now...
Check out Autogeek.net lots of info on OptiCoat and other coatings there. Prior to application the paint needs to be as perfect as is possible and completely clean. Meaning, all polishing needs to be completed and the car cleaned of all polishing oils, dusts, etc. An IPA wipe down, or product...
