I'm curious as to why that unit is only listed as for the V8's?
Plus i don't think many people have that unit only 1 or 2 people on here have it and one of them isn't answering too many questions about it.
I just go by the wheels.. most V6's i see have the base wheels (Or the rental barcode stickers) see tons of those. I don't think in my travels i have EVER seen anyone with a V6 or EB with a GT badge on it at all.. Although i did see an EB with those coyote cup holder inserts CJ pony sell, but...
The general consensus is "Yes" this is the microphone with that intention. I pulled mine down from the center, probably 4-5" it will look like it creased a little bit but i just grabbed it, yanked it out and cut it so no issues and it popped right back into place via the magnet kinda looks like...
I can't show you with a vid but i can tell you, it's REALLY easy. Hell i did it from the front seat, now mind you I cut mine if i was in the back seat it would have been fine. The headliner in that area is held up with a magnet.
What kind of exhaust? I had a buddy that had some bad vibrations in his EB and come to find out he didn't have a few of the clamps secured and they came loose so it was touching the body under load cause vibrations.
Yea, Dynamat is garbage. I'm going to go with CLD (Constraint layer damper) tiles for vibration, and a 2nd layer of CCF (Closed cell foam) and then a final layer of Barium Loaded Vinyl. i'm even looking at buying the kit to do the hood as well. i'm going big with this.
Also the company...
This seemed to work out pretty good. I've been doing some sound meter testing during my hour commutes to work with a cell phone app over the last 2 weeks and i've gone down nearly 10 decibels removing that friggen microphone. First thing my girl said lastnight as we were going out to eat was...
Wait what? Microphone in the back? I installed an exhaust and it sounds TERRIBLE... to the point i'm thinking about spending a boat load of money for vibration and sound deadning control (Still thinking about it) but what is this about a microphone?
I have the EB and have little interest in the GT, with that being said I bought mine as a commuter so the EB was the way to go for me. (13 months old and over 40k miles) if this was a play toy... i'd have gone GT for sure. Depends what you are using it for, if you are worried about dumb stuff...
I would double check your bolts for sure make sure it's not touching the car. I had that issue with mind i had one pipe rubbing on the car just a hair.
yea... it's kinda crappy my work commute is about 700(ish) miles a week and we have gone on many long trips it's first year. hopefully slowing that down...a lot...
