typical DA here is 5600+ in the 50 deg weather in winter and 7k-8k in the summer
at 7700 DA you lose almost 1 full second in the 1/4 on a NA engine
boosted usually around .3-.4 tenths
Its Thin and Dry, we hardly have much humidity.
wheres the fun in that!
when Rex maxed that same dyno in the supra there was a good dozen people standing there and a few stacked in the trunk :headbang:
Big thumbs up for Hellion and the Urists always nice to see the hometown heros at the top of the game!
carefull about celebrating too early, remember this is GM! Recently they have a knack of "revising" numbers after hitting lots
Remember ATS gained weight and the Trucks lost 2k lbs of tow rating

dec sales were just above 5300 so sale's spike on first month was rather sad
Almost 2 months ago I said it was still close enough to be a drivers race, people here and at cam6 laughed saying it was a easy win. Now its been out for a month and theres hardly anyone that will post up timeslips and the tone of easy win has changed. BTW the mustang was in the 9s in the first...
Hemi's are having major problems with the valve seat falling into the motor destroys the block, heads, and usually have to replace the manifold due to amount of metal that gets stuck in it.
Just do a quick google on hemi valve seats.
ah yes, but the point is, There is always a bigger fish.
This is the same fight thats been going since the 60s. Dont think for a second that your going to win every race. Dont get all excited over the mag numbers and a few good time slips, for every good slip theres 4 or 5 fail runs. Or do we...
too many cheerleaders and not enough players.
GM fans can jump up and down all day for .4-.5 secs. I shaved .4 off my 06gt 3v by just changing rear tires.
n55 is better, that part is true the valvtronix helps the air velocity. but ive seen 20k intervals on n54 just for the fact the OSV(oil serperation valve) bmw uses as a PCV valve gets pinholes so easily.
Just to add, the pressures and complexity of DI cars creates other problems as well. Look up BMW highpressure fuel pump failures, 6+ years and they are still putting out TSB on '15s for same reason.
Just had to make sure since C@D posted the 3760 weight while its not the 3800 some were saying. The GM fans are jumping all up and down on it being 40lbs less then Pill estimates.
not trying to argue, was just pointing out the accuracy of the scales
with the GM fans tryin to jump on every 10lbs in any printed media, gotta keep the facts and info straight as a arrow or someone with throw a fit sayin its Pill manipulating things.
I do DOT and PM inspections at a site that has multiple scales the single Cell we just refer as the farm scale, the multi-cell scale for most 30k+ loads isnt as accurate in single cell loads under certain weights. 3800lb on a multicell would make me question accuracy.
Never been able to pick my trucks tbh. Also never had a quota. How clean a truck is dont matter, even the cleanest trucks are dirty under under the skirt. I perfer to work on cars, but theres alot of money in heavy fleet work. 3 axle alignments is probably one of the highest $ per hour jobs some...
