    No it’s an overlay with 3m dbl sided tape.

    That makes sense, but aren’t most lubricants recycled? I have rented several GT’s and I’m sure the rental companies adhere to the manufacturer’s schedule and none of them had the tick. They ranged in miles from 12k-35k . It makes u wonder.

    Could the sophisticated oil and filtration of today cars have something to do with it? Thus requiring a longer break in? I questioned if this could be a contributing factor to the tick. It appears in most posts the first oil was done <3k miles. Just a thought.
