depending how long it will be stored.... park car, unplug battery. bring battery home, put on trickle charger every once in a while.
nothing will loose its programming if unplugged.
i took a 2x6 piece of wood and stuck in between all 6 pistons to act as a stop, then took my air compressor with the blow gun attachment (make sure you turn the pressure down or you will blow the seals and split them) i used about 20-30psi... then just blow the air into the hole where the brake...
thanks bud, the stock gt grilles are very cheap... and the front bumper on this car is a breeze to get off. it took me 1.5hrs total by myself... very easy. hardest part was getting the old grille to unclip from the bumper.
Thanks, they are weld rts wheels.
I'll have to look but I don't think I took any. The kit I purchased came with the grille pieces pre cut and bent. Just bed the sides around and use this adhesive called goop. Seems to be holding great.
Yup I love the look.
Yea it's a nice grille just...
purchased a stock gt grille and used the kit from a online website... I'm extremely happy with how it came out. got to say the front bumper on this car is one of the easiest ever to get off altho the grille itself is a pain in the A** to get off.
drove the car for the first time with the new wheel. extremely happy with it, much softer on the hands etc... my only complaint is the leather on the bottom is just to smooth, wish it was textured.
just finished my install. took about 30 min. think the hardest part is putting the stupid battery cover back into place after disconnecting battery... only reason is i have the hood struts.
my horn has the same amount of movement as it did with the stock wheel. I'm wondering if the ones with...
pretty much. people get way to carried away with the storing of a car for a few months.... the only thing i do is unplug the battery and let it sit. never had an issue. now if it was to get stored for years then yes its a different story.
if you were closer id take you up on the offer... I'm located in CT....i haven't personally done a set on my mustang but i have plenty of experience turning wrenches on my vette... i have a one of these...
the coating company will not coat them with the seals and pistons inside. YOU DO NOT need a rebuild kit but you DO need to remove the seals etc from the calipers. the only time you would need a seal kit is if the shop taking them apart screws one up. thats why i mentioned you can't buy a seal...
no, the shop will be able to reuse everything. just know if they mess up one of the rear seals they do not sell rebuild kits... you will need to purchase a new caliper from ford and use the parts from it.
the brembos do have rebuild kits available... they are around $70 each but you should not...
it doesn't have to be $1000... it depends on detailer. mine were $225 for each car. that included exterior buff and opti coat, interior and engine bay.
