The Kooks mufflers and catback systems sound really good too. I looked at those. But yeah, based on the sound clips, I figured they would be too loud also. As for the MBRP Street and Race mufflers, I believe you have to purchase an entire cat-back system. As far as I can tell, MBRP doesn't...
@Goose17 - thanks for the invite! That's sounds like a ton of fun and I'd like to give it a try. But I have work on Monday. Also, this is my wife's DD and has higher mileage so I'm hesitant to run it very hard. That said, I do plan on some brake and suspension upgrades next year.
My wife and I have been out of the car scene for about 10 years. This was our first event getting back into it. We met met some really nice folks, saw some really cool cars and had a blast! We even took her bone stock '17 GT around the road course - I'd like to do that a LOT more!
Even the...
Thanks for the feedback. Like I said, I think I could have lived with the drone of the race mufflers if it was my vehicle, but it's not, it's my wife's car so, you know what they say, "happy wife, happy life."
Thanks again for the replies and input. To follow-up, I was able to order a pair of just the street muffflers directly from MBRP (nice folks to deal with BTW). They were special order and took a little more than two weeks to arrive. As someone mentioned the only difference between the "street"...
Selling a pair of MBRP "Race" mufflers from an MBRP 3" stainless cat-back system for ‘15-'17 GT. They were on my wife's '17 GT for about 600 miles. We both really like the volume and tone of the "race" mufflers but she decided the drone at highway and cruising speed (about 1,800 - 2,000 rpm)...
Thanks for the reply. My wife and I have been out of the car scene for quite a few years. This event will be our first event in a long time. Looking forward to it!
Bump.
My wife and I are planning to attend the LMR cruise this Sat. I was hoping to meet some local members. We will be in her magnetic metallic 2017 GT.
Thanks for the replies, info. and opinions fellas. I have my options down to either the Roush axle-back (with or without the MRT H-pipe I already have) or the MBRP cat-back with their "street" mufflers. My wife and I are planning to attend the LMR cruise at TMS on the 22nd. I may just wait...
tdstuart - thanks for the reply. I did read the comments about the drone with the MBRP race, but the tone was so good, I thought maybe we could live with the drone. Nope. I was wrong and should have known better. Live and learn. LOL! I have contacted MBRP direct and they will sell me just...
MAGS1 - thanks for the reply and the good info. I will look at/listen to sound clips of the systems you listed.
Does anyone have a sound or video clip showing a before and after comparison of the MBRP resonators?
