  1. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Yep, was just my purse being too tight. I had to beat the fuck out of them but they came out. I was spoiled when the car was new lol.
  2. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Thanks man. I honestly feel like Im a standstill waiting for the internals haha.
  3. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Good news...cams and another order from MMR on it's way. Ordered the fueltech setup. That said, not sure how to go about this, but I opt'ed for a mechanical diode converter through JPC with the th400 swap. Per the item number from Coan on the box, what I received was a "super sprag" setup with...
  4. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Ill be honest, I didn't; granted my driving height was not super low. Given I wasn't really looking to carve any corners in it, I didn't worry about it. And truth be told at driving height, didn't notice a difference in steering response.
  5. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

I actually asked him in my order and he affirmed to go with the handling springs. I'm sure just a matter of setup; he actually said he was developing an adjustable 1000lb spring and would go with that if it was out. If you follow David Van Voris on YT...setup will be somewhat similar and he was...
  6. Project NO1CARES (5.2/PTE7688/TH400)

I wouldn't be shocked to see him a part of the first 6 second IRS Mustang tbh. I just don't see any other setups launch as controlled as his. I think it's just a matter of a bit of time.
  7. 2700lbs 2018+ GT....how?!

Sad thing is this is probably a closer answer than the majority in this thread :cwl:
  8. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

BMR Lower control arm bearings, BMR rear handling springs, Adjustable delrin camber links, rear lockout kit, UPR spring spacers, poly spring isolators, Subframe bushing lockout kit, alignment kit, and steeda bumpstops ordered (threw my stock isolators and bumpstops out going air ride...of...
  9. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

:cwl: Hey now, I thought I was safe wearing my purse in my own home without prying eyes. Stock ones for the install of the air ride came out pretty easy...guessing maybe just the mileage. I'll beat it up.
  10. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

I am gonna try to get a bit more aggressive later; youre right there if you have to use some force. Generally these shouldn't take a bunch of force though. I'm wondering if there's honestly just some rust for some reason...I don't see any reason they should be bound up.
  11. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Went ahead and pulled the subframe. Went to remove the front bags, and maybe I'm just totally blanking out but the lower mount bolts won't budge. As far as I know with the nut off as it is, they should come out with a little coaxing...I've done more than a bit of coaxing but before I mushroom...
  12. Project NO1CARES (5.2/PTE7688/TH400)

Good stuff, it was nice to chat with him. Came across as a genuine enthusiast rather than just someone selling a product. His spec sheet alone is gonna help me at least a ton because rebound/compression numbers were something I felt I'd be doing some endless research/tweaking on.
  13. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

There's another company I was looking at that makes an 8.5 and tubular front end combo for $13xx. Reason I didn't go that route is I just don't think I'll need that setup yet, apparently it doesn't reduce much weight on the s550, and if I do no prep, I don't want people crying :cwl: And I...
  14. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Yep, as far as I know 25.4 would be tube chassis. 25.5 is oem floorpan/firewall. 25.4 would be taking it a step further. I honestly need to get the SFI cert book (hint hint if anyone has it lol) because the reason I said I may go that route is because I'm pretty sure we can get the additional...
  15. Project NO1CARES (5.2/PTE7688/TH400)

Hey, Kelltrac buddies lol! Who ordered first?! You watch his IG vids? He definitely knows how to get the IRS to leave controlled.
  16. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

25.4 is pretty aggressive lol. Funny how I really don't see many 7 second s550's running this degree of setup.
  17. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

I actually went a little against the grain I feel like. I came across a super well priced kit from a company called S&W Race Cars (here's the kit: https://swracecars.com/product/2015-newer-ford-mustang-10-point-roll-cage-cm/) . After doing some research and not finding one negative review, I...
  18. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Hell ya man, I absolutely will! Honestly even though I feel like I'm more waiting for parts (and the weather lol) than doing anything at this point, I've gotten pretty stoked at some of the people I've been able to connect with. A lot of guys/groups have gone beyond what I'd expect...Kelly...
  19. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Louisville, KY. The plan is to travel with the car though. Putting the time and money into it I want to take advantage and get on the road a decent amount.
  20. If you ain't first, you're last; 7 second S550 build

Chute bracket mounted. Easy process. For those doing it for the first time...the OD of the bracket is I believe 2 inches...might be 1.75. However, I'd advise using a 1.5 inch hole saw. Firstly because the hole saw will cut a bit larger than 1.5. Second, where the bracket goes into the bumper for...
