Can't speak for the video, only the install that I have. Got the newer "compact" shifter. Gate is narrower than the stock shifter, and it centers perfectly every time. No slop, no hard engagement. Even George from MGW said it'd be a little tight for about the first 500 miles. And it was a...
I factored $3.50 a gallon for gas when I ordered the car, but not sure I factored in enough for tires every few months. But after all, I did buy it as an "investment". How to you get your money out of a car? Run the wheels off it. No garage queens at my place. ;)
That is all...
Sure, as soon as I get a REAL camera. The ones in the FS01 thread are from a "state of the art" Fuji from about 15 years ago! If you don't want to wait and won't be insulted, you can snatch them from the FS01 thread.

Works for me! A 19x10 +35 increased my front track by 1.8" and rear by 1.9". That's compared to the stock PP wheel setup. A 275 tire will just about be flush with the top of the fender. And happy about rotation... back tires seem to be wearing rather fast.
That is all...
YEP! If the ass end is out a good bit and you let completely off, there will be no pause. As in CPR: Correct (turn into it), Pause (a very short period when the car begins to get traction at all 4 corners with a feathered throttle, Recover (wheel correction the opposite way to straighten it...
Hey, you live in the South... we're "Second Tier" down here.
GTU4EAH and oldgeezer, welcome to 6g. And welcome to the endless wait! Believe me, it'll be worth it. You'll just have time to stock up on goodies. But do have space and time to install them all after you get your new...
I'm surprised that thread didn't go nuclear! You certainly won't regret it. Over that 5 years, you'll save a ton on insurance and gasoline. Gas isn't going to stay cheap forever... maybe another year.
Me and another GT owner at work are trying to get another co-worker to understand that in...
Based on your wants/needs, you made the right choice. You WILL enjoy it!
Welcome to Mustang6g! Good choice too. You shouldn't have to worry much about the Pirelli's, where you're at, although they won't wear well and are a little squirrelly in the rain. Not good when it gets below...
Royal Purple 01512 Synchromax Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid. You'll need almost 3 quarts. One of these makes it an easy refill from under the car:
Hand Pump
The above stuff, a drain pan and IIRC, an 8mm allen wrench is all you'll need. Have at it!
And to all you guys who have ordered...
You'll need it. At 1k, I changed tranny fluid to full synthetic. It helped... a little. Got the WhiteLine tranny bushing, it helped... a little more. What it didn't do is remove ANY slop in the gate, and didn't make it go into 2nd gear any easier, up or down. Like the guys above, I bought...
Changed mine at 1k to Royal Purple, but didn't do the shifter install until 3.7k. After changing the fluid, I did notice it shifted easier... as easy as the OEM shifter would allow it. :D
There's another thread on the forum about synthetic trans fluid replacement with quite a few comments...
Paul, whatever happened to your idea of "purple dinosaur with road rash"? Just add some blue to that red powder coat, brush it, and you're there! ;)
Still very happy with "basic black"!
That is all...
Great setup, Kelly and great 60 ft time!
I did notice in the list: "BMR-UTCAXXX Upper Camber Link Prototype". How long before the "prototype" will become "production"?
That is all...
Subject to change!
I have a JLT I'll be installing when my Lund tune arrives. The SCTx4 I have has a Bama tune. So I'll actually be able to compare them both. First with the "butt dyno" and some data logging, then going to get it strapped down again to compare them both. Will probably take...
You have the "First Gen" or the newer "Compact" shifter?
Install it yourself, or have someone do it?
It will feel a little stiffer than the OEM, but it sounds like something's in a bind. Mine goes into all 6 gears smooth. You may want to give MGW a call, but check their site... might be closed...
