It was an allocated demo that Andy Barratt sourced for me in the spec I wanted. (thanks again Andy!) Was delivered to the dealer and was held in their secure compound till Monday where they prepared it for my test drive.

Ah sorry no I have have put 54 miles on it since collecting last night :D I am just looking for reasons to drive around in it. I will say these things handle so much better than the S197's I had, its like night and day!

Just spoken to my sales person and she says ford haven't released any servicing packages as yet for the the UK. She will look into it and let me know. I forgot that they do offer recovery etc if continuously serviced with Ford which is a nice touch!

Nah mate I might misunderstand you but even if you have only done 100 miles in a year, they suggest you still service it then. So by the time you come to MOT it, it should have been serviced at least 3 times if that makes sense. regards

I went down the route of buying a Mini and using the Shelby (when I had it) on special occasions, made me hate driving the mini as I always longed to drive the Shelby and the idea was soon binned hehe!

Yeah I had the same thing, 7 days drive-away activated but had to do a quote and it was £930, but they use genuine ford parts I was told :D I have been quoted £305 on the comparison websites so will probably do down that route

Apparently this issue is class as a "hold" issue and as such they wont be allowed to deliver any new cars without the fix being in place. As said previously its a really easy fix, just needs the right materials.
