Larry...guess you won't be sending this to me for updating then as we discussed in email? For those of you that have had me do it and changed to the premium bezel instead of Zach's custom bezel, I can add the climate. You do have to ship it back however. Same as the offer to Larry...just send...
SYNC3 is a different APIM and display. It also runs a dedicated GPS antenna directly off the APIM whether it has NAV or not. The GPSM for the SYNC 2 system would need to be removed.
The APIM would have to be programmed for your vehicle which shouldn't be too hard for the 15 Mustang since...
If you are feeling weird about it...get the VIN it came from and the serial number of the SYNC3 module (it would start with a W). A few of us here can look up the SYNC records and see if the person is being honest.
One of the first tests the dealer is going to do is to test it with nothing connected via BT or USB. So I would suggest doing that yourself as I stated above.
In the past the use of special characters or very large phonebooks would cause the system to do what yours is doing.
I see some funky characters on the BT. Disconnect your phone and and reset the unit by pulling the battery cable and let it restart without connecting to your phone. Run it that way for a while.
While the as built data can be matched for a mustang on a fusion ACM, the ACM will still retain the Fusion firmware and part number. Should Ford release any updates of firmware for the Mustang to correct bugs IDS will puke and say the wrong ACM is installed and will not program the firmware.
I know with the heated/cooled seats that were in my 13 Taurus and now 16 Explorer, there are relays that click in the dash when turning on the seats...if the Mustang would be set up the same way I doubt you would have that part of the setup. A service manual would have to be consulted to see...
Almost every vehicle line has a different brackets. Due to the 2015 Mustang being the first Mustang with MFT there are very few of the Mustang Screens around....meaning custom brackets will be needed.
