It’s true it probably isn’t worth it for most people but you never know if you’re going to be that guy that experiences transmission or engine failures which cost more than the actual warranty.
Not really a versus but figured this would be a good spot to post as there are a lot of comparisons in this thread. So I’m looking at getting a second car for commuting and long trips. I wanted to get a pickup for the functionality but I feel they have gotten overpriced even in the used market...
I got mine used with cpo courtesy of ford which gave me bumper to bumper warranty until 2024 and my car is a 17 so that was a great deal. It was also owned by ford I think they lease them to employees or something and my car only had 5000 miles and was like 6 months old when I got it. Best part...
The s550 will be faster in every aspect and much nicer in terms of interior. That being said the 2013 s197 boss 302 is a much better looking car in my opinion and is more of a muscle car while the s550 is more sports car.
I’m thinking with their whole locked ecu thing they might go with a very conservative 450hp tune and once you go through a partner for a tune the gains would seem even larger from a tune only making them attractive but now once you tune the car with say a roush tune then they are responsible for...
I think the dark horse will be much improved and I would wait on that before making a switch. I would imagine that dark horse would use a lot of parts from the GT350 and GT500 and would also guess it would be like a magneride 2.0 improving on previous versions of it, plus 500 hp stock is nice.
point proven someone will always argue this. At the end of the day my point was that if Chevy wants to take jabs at ford over the GT350 which is also half the price of a z06 then ford can always work on the GT a bit and go right back at them. Honestly if they don’t it’s a missed opportunity they...
If I were Chevy I wouldn’t mess around with Ford. Fords been responding to competitors lately with the GT500 and Raptor R. And ford still has the GT which they can throw the gt500 engine in and make it a hybrid to annihilate the z06. Of course Chevy will bring up price though.
Well the place I ordered from emailed me back saying they are sold out and they emailed Vors and said they are in fact discontinued. I would be upset if not for the fact that after checking my tires they are still like new so I would have spent close to 2000 dollars just to get wider tires in...
I dig the concave rear look it definitely emphasizes the fact that the rear is wider. Frankly I think at the width and offset they make them they can’t go less concave.
I ordered some hopefully they are in stock. Im hoping to move my rear 275 up front with a 5mm spacer and mount 305 or 315 out back. I think other companies are really missing out not making these replicas in a 19x11. Also the polished versions which were available on some models would look nice too.
Wondering if anybody ever got these in a 19x11 and how close of a match they are to the oem. I’m considering moving my back wheels up front with a spacer and getting the 19x11 for the back
I think you want two things that don’t typically go together. Typically the higher performance tires wear much faster. If you’re doing burnouts and want tire life you’re going to have to sacrifice grip.
Pickup trucks are the best because most have a speed limiter at about 100 mph. So you don’t even have to push the car just literally keep up until 100 and watch them drop back
I definitely understand your point but look at it from the perspective of who’s working on the car. I’m sure you wouldn’t want someone over your shoulder watching you work all day.
