Update: I got the car out of storage last weekend. I did what J17GT said to get the oil pressure up. Once it was there, I started it right up. I let it warm up, then shut it down and checked the oil.
Drove it 1.5 hrs home taking the scenic route. Only ran it up to 90 once when I was...
I know that there are a lot of threads on this. but I wanted to do an update. I bought the front bracket from Sly's. https://www.slybrackets.com/store/
Wisconsin requires one and I was going to go without until I got pulled over, but my wife drives the car also, and she did not like that...
I went to the hardware store and got a tapered pipe plug to see if I liked the sound without it. I do and have left it in. I have not had a chance to remove the tube, but for now, it is fine with the plug.
Hi Gang,
I currently have my GT sleeping for the winter. Battery is out of it and stored in the basement. Car is in a unheated garage.
I changed the oil, filled it up and added gas additive before I put it away (drove it around after I added). Washed and waxed and covered. I have all-season...
I just saw this one also. Looks like you could pop it on and off easily. I have not bought it yet.
Ignore the BMW part. It is made for each car.

I'm oven in WI. I found a set of take off wheels and put Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 on them. I really liked them in October when the mornings were around 40. I had to put the car into storage so I did not get to drive it in November or December before we got the snow. Next year I...
I usually follow extreme conditions for my vehicles even thought I'm in WI. But I do like doing all fluids and spark plugs at 50,000 miles. However, that is with my normal cars. I also do brake pads every few years as preventative maintenance so that I do not have to replace rotors.
Not sure...
I do have Ford Pass, but I'm over 2 hours away.
It is easy enough to pull the battery, I just was not sure how much it would affect the control modules and if it really matters?
I will be storing my car off site this winter (Wisconsin). If I remove the battery for the winter, will all the computer modules lose their "learned" settings? I'm assuming anything I changed with ForScan might go back to stock.
For security reasons, I might just take the battery out. But if...
I have a good friend that lives in Appleton. I don't think I'll get up there this fall, but next spring I'll reach out.
I ended up finding a set of 275/40/19 Continental DWS 06 that are working for me. With those tires, I can use it for a daily driver until the end of October when it will get...
I have a 2023 with the PP1 package, P-Zero tires. Here the spring and fall mornings can be around 20 degrees but 60's in the afternoon. I plan on storing for the true winter months, but would like to extend the season a bit. I want to get an all season tire/rim setup.
I have read this and...
I found a cheaper Audi one in my area, so that is what I put on. Works and looks great.
The Love to Drive one did not fold into 4ths like that Audi one. That was why I was looking to see what else was out there. But the one from Europe does not either.
Ok. For now I ended up putting on of these in the hose and plugged it back in. It still looks stock, in other words like a rats nest. But will try this for now, and see if I like it and if so, I’ll rip it out later.
Thanks Boz.
I was going to ask about the oil separator. Looks like it is a necessity?
What are the jacking rails for? Can't you use what is under there to jack it up?
Lastly, I see you are in WI also. Do you cold store it for the winter? If so, what do you do with the tires? Jack the car up?
I do want to track it. I was watching your stuff about the roll bar. Once the wife has a year with it, and does not put anyone in the back seat, I might add it.
