Same here-my sales guy says the car is in Omaha and just needs to be brought ~20 miles down to the dealership. So close... Oh, and it’s supposed to snow Friday. So maybe the EDD for next week isn’t so bad!

If they could take pictures of the cars as they pass through various stops in the factory line, and store them based on VIN, such that the consumer could see the build in progress, that would be cool.

My dealer says that my car is still in Indiana, eight days after going to “in transit”. I was hoping for better news, given the speed others have reported for their cars to be shipped to more distant locations. I hate the uncertainty of this whole process.

Fear not, mine did the same thing two days after going to “in transit”. It was “lost” for 33 hours then came back with the same EDD.

The last thing I’d do is tell them “no, please delay my order”. Just because this whole order process has so much uncertainty. I would expect a dealership would hold it for you up to a point, but how long they would is a good question, especially if you asked for them to not leave it...
