Nice...congrats. Make sure you apply a bit of friendly pressure to the dealer to get it through PD fast. You have been a patient customer, buying one of their premium products. I am sure they can find a way. Good dealers look after good customers.
Now that the local ports are totally overwhelmed, the local authorities are pressuring the OEM's to do the cleaning at the point of origin, rather than at our ports when the cars arrive. Its not a great idea. I have worked at a Korean car shipping port and can tell you that these ports are...
Strange location. Doesn't look like a spot where water would naturally sit so must be a manufacturing issue. Definitely warrantable.
If my car ever arrives 😏 I will definitely check it out.
It can be offsite for bigger dealers who sometimes have a seperate workshop which looks after multiple brands but normally it’s a part of the service department and done onsite.
Planning on doing the same, when I finally get mine. Watching YT videos by Sandro from Car Craft Detailing, I was quite shocked to see how poor the paint finish on a new Mustang can be. Dont want to sound negative, but I am expecting ours to be even worse as they may have been sitting for...
28 June 2022. Will be about 10 months exactly if it makes the scheduled date. Seems like an eternity but it could be worse. I was warned it could be 12 months.
I don’t know this for a fact but it’s quite possible that irregular transport channels are being used because of the supply out of the docks that is being drip fed in fits and starts. It might actually be a good thing, at least it might mean yours is on its final leg of the journey.
Dealer has just told me mine is scheduled to arrive at the dealership on 29 April. Would be nice to get for my birthday on the 30th but cant see that happening, even if It was pushed through PD. Bottom line is no one has any idea how long it will take to get through the Melbourne port, so I am...
Well the good news is it should get through PD at the Dealership pretty quick because they wont be too busy delivering cars. Wont pretend I am not a little envious but you have sure waited your turn and then some.
Remember those days when you could order a car and have it in a few weeks? Seems...
Wow...thats tantalisingly close. Good luck TTT and keep us updated.
I have basically given up trying to track, especially with the delays in the Melbourne port. My wife reckons my Mustang is just a Mirage, barely visible in the distance and totally a figment of my imagination.
Not just stink bugs this time but other biosecurity risks as well, like you mention (dirt, seeds, insects, etc.). An article in the Melbourne Age today gives a bit more insight:
"A Port of Melbourne spokesman said supply chain issues meant vehicles were being stored longer sometimes in paddocks...
Cheers for the welcome TTT.
Will get on to the dealer and get my NSC. Seems that there are a few of us wondering if we will ever actually get these things. You and I ordered our cars one day apart so could be April delivery for both of us.
The only positive I can offer is that the highest...
Hey Zeus
Just found this forum and have just joined.
I was interested in reading about your experience. I am in a very similar situation to you. I ordered my Atlas Blue GT in late June and was hoping for a late March delivery. Now seems like that will be more like May, but I dont have the NSC...
