But status is still Produced, not Built. The dealer doesn’t see a hold, that does not mean there isn’t a hold. The car wouldn’t be sitting in a lot completely built when there are cars getting “Built” and shipped within a week or two. If the plant doesn’t mark a hold, the dealer will not see it.
If I’m not mistaken aren’t you “in production”? Produced isn’t the same as built, we’re definitely on hold for parts regardless if Ford has changed the status or not. It may not be on chip hold if it’s not waiting on chips but mechanical parts or badges
Meanwhile I just want my car before it gets cold here. My 99 7.3 is a dog in the winter, takes forever to warm up so I'll be shivering trying to drive for 10 minutes before heat enters the vents lol.
Since your blend date was just 2 days ago, you may be lucky and get to built in a few days. My fear is that us who have cars waiting for parts in a parking lot are the lowest priority. If new parts come in, it makes sense for them to use those on vehicles in the assembly line to get those cars...
I would recommend that you don’t cancel the order with your dealer and see if yours rolls over. With a priority 2 on a rollover, I’m sure you’d be right at the front. And then, go order a 23 at another dealer. Take whichever comes first. The other dealer will understand and sell the car...
So it looks like clarification that there are indeed chip shortages plaguing mustang production. I wondering if the dealers will be notified of what packages/trims are causing the spec change, that would be useful information to us waiting in production as well
