  1. Looking for new S550, need feedback

Agreed. I didn't learn to drive a manual until I turned 23 (just turned 25) so I'm not fully attached like those who grew up on it but there are definitely times I wish I had one. 90% of my driving is highway so I guess it doesn't make a huge difference at that point.
  2. Looking for new S550, need feedback

I have an auto and it's not bad, granted it's my only car and I drive 20k miles a year; however, if you have other cars for daily driving I would suggest getting the manual. That's what I would have done given I had a second car.
  3. 2017 Automatic Premium GT 3.55 vs 2017 Premium PP

Did you try the paddle shifters? That's one of the things that sold me on the auto. If you put the car in sport mode and use the paddle shifters, you will get full control. One tip, upshift to 2nd from a stop if using the paddle shifters and making a 90 degree turn. That way you aren't...
  4. Whats in this ecoboost?

I don't have any experience with the ecoboost, but I wouldn't have any problem buying one with 47k miles. I've owned several turbo cars over the past few years and they were plenty reliable.
  5. Whats in this ecoboost?

There is not a chance Ford would warranty that under CPO if/when the engine blows. I would look elsewhere unless there is very detailed paperwork showing what work was done and where (which is highly unlikely) and you know the risk.
  6. Performance Pack Tires... done in under 6,700 miles...WTF?

I have a set of 20" foundry's and the P-Zeros that came on them (not sure how many miles were on them) had a sidewall bubble. I went with the DWS 06. I like them, granted I drive 90% highway and never track my car so summer tires vs. A/S doesn't make a big difference.
  7. Insurance......Again

Point 5 is a big one Johnny. Jalopnik had an article a few weeks back that highlighted the fact that simple headlight assemblies in new cars are upwards of $1k each. Ours are $1200+ each for OEM
  8. Performance Pack Tires... done in under 6,700 miles...WTF?

Right? Hell would freeze over before I let insurance spy on me.
  9. 2018 5.0 Engine, 302 CI?

442 = 629 hp at the current hp per liter rate :headbang:
  10. Base GT test drive not impressive. What am I missing

Most modern turbo 4's make a lot of boost down low, meaning it is much more useable in everyday driving and can even feel faster since boost builds quick and hits hard at low RPM. Coming from turbo VW's over the past 4 years, I can say it is an entirely different feel but the mph climbs much...
  11. 235 Tires Concerns

In theory, the width of the tire doesn't matter given the same tire pressure since the contact surface area doesn't change. In fact, it is possible that a skinnier tire may produce better traction than the wider tire since the contact patch would be longer in the longitudinal direction than on...
  12. WHAT DID YOU PAY!!!

2015 GT Premium auto w/ 20" foundry wheels and a score of 93 on auto check. 19k miles. $31.5k kbb fair purchase price, my purchase price = $28k with 1% above kbb on my trade in and 1 new tire. I'm surprised I didn't get charged for grand theft auto at that price.
  13. Introduce yourself!!

Hello all. My name is Brandon and I am a big car enthusiast and mustang fan. About a month ago I bought a 2015 black GT premium with 20" foundry wheels. I went with the auto for several reasons including: Convenience, since its my daily driver and only car (driving a manual after packed...
