    . The P51 was an iconic aircraft and some enthusiasts might appreciate it but I would think that audience would be quite small (and I'll bet that whomever used the P51 image would have to pay royalties to Northrop Grumman Aviation due to patent name or copyright laws)

    Ditto the southern route (even getting out of California would be tricky if you went via Interstate 80 through Reno and beyond). Suggest head down Southern California via Interstate 5 through Bakersfield onto Interstate 10 until past El Paso and then curl up to Interstate 20, avoiding anything...
