im lowered on sportlines, and threw my 04 cobra rears with drag radials on last track day to see how they worked. they are 17x10.5 et +27 with 315/35/17 nitto nt05rs. normally i run a 20x10.5 et30 with a 275/30/20, which fit fine and would tuck nicely if i was any lower.
they 17x10.5 did...
rant warning:
I find it nearly impossible to believe that the 50th anniversary of THE MOST ICONIC AND RECOGNIZABLE MUSCLE CAR IN ALL OF HISTORY was not celebrated with bells and whistles(on time), RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BIGGEST HORSEPOWER WAR IN HISTORY. in fact im fucking pissed...
dude, that sucks. hopefully its a quick turn around.this weekend i came out to my car in a parking lot and the passenger door was blasted in. no note, nothing. terrible feeling.
i know, it kills me. i bought the last 2016 guard a6 in cali while i was able to get the x plan and incentives, so i was between a rock and a hard place.
they look so clean without a spoiler, the car was designed to look amazing without one. oh well, looks like its spot welding and respray for me
id give damn near anything to have purchased my car with a spoiler delete on my base a6. 2morrow wanna trade lol? the dilemma now is to fill and paint, or find a different spoiler to cover the holes. neither seem appealing so a carbon decklid may be the next best option. steeda makes a...
i ran my car with a double x pipe with no mufflers for all of about 15 minutes(on the way to get my corsas welded in) and the novelty wore off after the first 5 min. ill admit, the coyote is a mean sounding motor. the nmra coyote stock guys are pure badass, and the cars sound great [ame]
but...
the rears of these cars need a high offset. they can fit like a 20x12 et 55 or some shit, where as the front like a lower offset to clear suspension. i run a 20x10.5 et 30 square and on the front i run a 5mm spacer without issues, but the rear is poking a little, but has like 2" of inner clearance.
nt05 wasnt anything special when i threw them on my car, a little better than my 555(not g2) but about as good as my federal 595ss, hard to tell, but i think my federals are better, for half the price.
looks like those numbers are on 757 hp, with the "red key" 757 is all over the place, and if you slow the video its pretty obvious those are numbers on that power level. dyno reads about 755-60 on the one screen too. they cover up the boost peak with the demon symbol on one of the screens, which...
good point, and hey, id love to see them both on showroom floors, just like it was in 67. its just frustrating being in the dark from ford, while the greatest muscle car hp war in history is unfolding and im sitting here twiddling my thumbs :kickrock:
yeah, its a shit show all around. i wouldnt expect the gt500 to run more than 2 years, and i wouldnt think they would run a gt350 and gt500 at the same time, which makes sense with your timing at the end of 2018. but honestly ive given up my hopes for a halo car, because with the camaro...
the 305/45 tire will have a bigger contact patch, taller sidewall, and should perform better despite being narrower. may i suggest the m/t 3572 as i believe they are proven to work pretty damn well on our a6 cars.
considering that the rendering has 2018 headlights, and the stock 2018 gt spoiler, with a bumper that we have never seen, and claims to be a 2017, id doubt any validity.
okay...speedo/tach numbers aside... a big WTF to under 1/2 tank and 1150 miles to empty...i see no decimal there.
and the other pic was ~3/4 tank with 289 to empty. thats just odd
i purchased my base gt a6 from san leandro ford. amazing dealership and great guys to work with, they went above any beyond with everything my purchase involved. but allow me to give you a snapshot of my buying experience before getting to san leandro:
walnut creek ford: smug, rude...
i may be taking a shot in the dark here, but nobody has addressed this portion yet... the tune. tunes almost always void warranties. im 99% sure they will check to see if it has been flashed, especially if the car had been obviously modified, and according to my buddy that tunes these cars, the...
