I know it is sorta a side step from a performance increasing mod, but I am about to purchase something to more accurately locate the rearend / diff housing to the frame. Everything I read about those type mods seem to help eliminate axle hop and the weird floaty feeling the ass end as while...
Have not read this entire thread...
but does anyone have a clip of a single exit exhaust? 1 pipe going to 2 mufflers seems overly pricey, heavy, and way more for show than go to me
Short answer is yes, car feels better in all aspects of its power delivery now. More torque at low rpm and pulls much much better above 5k than it did previously. That being said, my daily driving habits are quite a bit more aggressive than a "normal" person.
Worst thing about the procal is the...
While I guess I sorta get what you were trying to say with that first few sentences ..... the remainder of your post is one of the most confused and misinformed things I have ever seen typed on a forum. Bravo sir!
*edit* need to contribute to the thread ....
Personally I have the ford...
Like others have mentioned, IF you can find a qualified, competent machinist / engine builder, it is probable you will end up with a better end product than what you may get with a turnkey longblock.
However, you will more than likely spend more money, and it will take longer, assuming you...
5.6 with tune. 3k axle hoppy dump no power shifting. Poor pzeros have 17k miles on em now. Pretty confident I can get a 5.3 or quicker if I really lay into it.
Not sure what to tell you. My car grips and goes. Remember mine is a PP (3.55s and 255 pzeros).
Weather at the time was about 70 degrees, on asphalt. Done it many times since then. Dumping at a lower rpm bogged like hell. Clutch holds up just fine.
Most of the blacktop in the central texas...
Lol, yah that goes without saying. However I find it a bit strange that the noise I can hear now when blipping the throttle at idle was really there the whole time.....it is VERY noticeable, almost a "bassy" thud when it actuates.
Just installed mine today. No recorded pulls 0-60 yet. But for reference I did hit a 5.5 when the car was bone stock @ 1000 miles. Manual, PP. Clutch dump at 5k and powershifting the whole way.
Will see how she does after another day of driving it before attempting a 0-60.
Went and spoke with my local dealer, specifically the main ford racing service mechanic there. He had not seen the kit yet. Explained my credentials to him, showed him the instructions that came with the kit, and verbally explained what all was involved with the installation.
He and I came...
Lol... I am a machinist and build engines for a living.... and I have to find someone with an ASE cert to maintain the warranty eh?
Pretty sure I can handle installing an air intake and pressing enter on a keyboard.....
Anyone have this done on an ecoboost in the austin area? Tried to order one from Mac Haik in georgetown but it was not in their parts system yet.
Anyone who has had it done at a ford dealer, what did they charge you?
Going to try the FP tune on my EB for the sake of warranty, and the fact that it is a daily driver .... my fox coupe is what I use to break parts and spend money :D
Local ford dealer in georgetown texas does not have it in their system yet, supposedly are going to look it up and order for me...
Popped the hood this evening to change my oil and noticed the front timing chain cover was wet with oil on the lower passenger side. Followed the stain as high as I could and noticed oil on the ear of what I assume is the head gasket. Got a pic from the front without a problem but the others are...
2016 EB premium, PP, non nav. Installed the updates that were posted here last night (thank you op) and they took just fine. Using galaxy s5. Nice to see one of the features I purchased with my car became available over a year later... lol.
Got my 2016 eb Mt premium pp for 29k. Covert ford in austin. However I went to high school with the sales manager Dan Covert back in the day and I was privy to some things from the high school days that he isn't all that proud of. Worked out well for me. Overall the service was great and the...
