Someone earlier mentioned that it is not an about if the cars has issues. A car model can have a systematic issue or a specific car can have its own unique issue. It happens across all manufacturers. The difference is how they deal with it. I think we can agree that Ford and its dealerships...
I bought a fixed back seat and essentially bolted it to the floor using a custom fabricated mount. Not a great solution if you are worried about your side airbag or having other people driving your car, but you will get maximum headroom. With a helmet on, I need all the headroom I can get!
Love the rev match under hard braking. But only use on track. Not needed in daily driving or even spirited driving. I love it on the track. But never feel a need to use it for daily driving or on mountain roads.
Frontier Ford sales is sketchy as hell. My wife bought her Escape from them. After that mess I vowed I would never set foot in their dealership again even tough they are right down the road from me. It would not surprise me if they were to screw you.
Any update on the cause of your issue?
I experienced the surge on my way to the track today. Cruise control could not be set. No warning lights, no error codes, no messages. It is as if the computers do not know anything is wrong.
I stopped after few miles and restarted the car. The issue...
You do not need a state technical inspection. Some cars there will be trailered and not even be licensed for the street. They will certainly not have a state inspection.
what you do need is a technical inspection by a qualified mechanic (which could be self tech if you know your way around...
I recall someone mentioning in another thread that the difference is the included spacer. I assume the spacer size is the same but the bolt lengths are probably different. Probably best to call the company and confirm.
Not sure how harsh your winters are but I believe the biggest available all-season in 18" is 285 wide.
But if you are in a nice climate and can run summer tires all year round, then 305f/325r is no problem on R sized wheels. I have run Michelin Pilot Sport and Bridgestone S007A in that size...
In Backfires (reader mail) of the same issue there is another GT350 mention:
“Gail ranted and raved about how wonderful the naturally aspirated flat-six sounds. At $118,600 retail, good for it. My 2019 Shelby GT350, at $65,116 out the dealer’s door, is the best-sounding naturally aspirated...
I have a 2018 without electronics package. Just the basic Sync 1. I primarily use the car for track days so kept it as simple as possible. I think you 2019-20 guys may not have a choice about the car communicating back to Ford.
I have never heard any noise from my car with me not in it. But my car is not reporting back to the mothership. So the FordPass theory might be correct.
Steeda spring replaces both springs on the stock unit.
Whether you (or your wife) likes it better is something you will need to tell us. I would say the majority of people like the Steeda clutch spring better. One friend who test drive a new GT350 back in 2016 said the car was great except...
