I haven't had this issue for quite a while but for me it was spark plug gap. Have you checked it yet? Even managed to get a couple logged misfires (ie check engine light). Hasn't happened since plugs were gapped. How hard were you on the throttle? And I'm in Virginia too.
Wow such a shame I didn't see this thread yesterday.
There's really no reason to debate the fastest color. I have a lifesaver chart that accurately, and I stress the accurate in accurately, shows the fast level of each color in the chart. If your color is not in the chart you have no fast...
Anyone else have their account disappear from Livernois website?
Just tried to login to check on tune updates and they have no record of my account or one attached to my email address.
Curious.
I have been very happy with my ATM. I bought it knowing it would give me room to grow should I decide to go to a larger turbo, built block. I've been turning my 07' GT into a track car for the last 7 months (First track day at VIR back on the 21st :headbang:) so it'll be a while before I do...
**Edited for brevity**
Thanks for taking the time to be sane and rational. Your points are valid and we as car owners often forget the level of inaccuracy that is designed nto these cars so they don't slow down the assembly line.
Perfect example being the body panel gap issues we've all...
I kept my S197. It's now being turned into my track car. I love the S550 but truth be told if I hadn't had the S197 I'd probably be in an E92 M3 right now.
My advice hang on a little bit and get another S197. Prices are pretty low on the 4.6 cars right now as well.
About 10 years ago I used a high flow cat from Random Technologies on my turbo BMW. It was 304 stainless construction, thick walled, and well made.
I would use one again. But it's been 10 years there may be better options I'm unaware of.
One other benefit of doing this is reduced harmonic resonance inside the car from aftermarket parts which the factory didn't account for.
I have a catless downpipe installed and between 2700-3200 rpm there was a very pronounced harmonic humming/vibration that would keep getting louder if the...
Cam C is where it's at IMO. Look forward to seeing your results. I'm running it this year but not on any competitive level, yet. Good luck with all the new suspension parts.
And if it's not too much trouble would you be willing to give us a before and after review of how the car feels on the...
As mentioned above find a shop with a full touchless machine. My local Ford dealer does not have one and while I've used them for my tire work the last few years, and they've been great (pricing and service), when I went to an aftermarket wheel they declined the work. Found a shop locally that I...
I completely agree. With the nearest e85 about 70 miles from me it is essentially out of the question. I would love to upgrade the turbo on this car but if the 93 power numbers don't justify it then there would be no reason for me to do so. Sure there's race gas but since I'm not a track rat I'm...
I have a Spanish engined EB delivered 1/13/2015. Tuned since 18k, Intercooler and downpipe now at 48k no issues whatsoever. Well except for that one time before I gapped my spark plugs and had some spark blowout.
I've read plenty about the issue with the Spanish engines and the belief it is...
Agreed with the above comments. The small hot side clamp doesn't fit. You can use the stock clamp or get a properly sized T clamp fitting if you want. Also the hot side pipe/hose combo is marginally too short but you can get it working if you play around a bit.
On the plus side they look really...
So is there a group buy thing still happening on this or is that out of the picture. Just saw this thread today for whatever reason and am definitely interested.
So I bent my right front wheel (Philadelphia). Not bad and it's barely noticeable on new tires (installed today) but it needs to be replaced.
Anyone got a single in good shape, paint and straightness, they'd like to part with reasonably?
Also time is a concern. I don't want to wait too...
Me again. Been a while. Everything is still working just fine and I'm pleased to say that. Over 41K on the odometer now and I'll say I'm still enjoying driving this thing. I am curious if you've had any tune updates lately. I'm running the 93 Stage 3 V7 tune and have been since back in December...
