Yes, it is normal. Since ATF is more commonly found in stores, many manufacturers are/have been using that fluid in their transmissions (both auto and manual).
My '02 GT calls for Motorcraft ATF, and that is a manual as well.
Except the vehicle also showed actual engine braking when off-throttle..
I wasn't a fan of the different throttle response, but was a fan of the lopey idle and the fact that the vehicle engine-braked more aggressively when off-throttle.
I'm sure a dealership would know that.
Also, check the ford parts website. Once GT350 is listed under 2016 vehicles, I'm sure the part number will be there so that you can go to the dealer and order that part.
Was just a guess for me. I actually didn't know orders were being placed until looking back at threads just now.
I'm wondering if the matte black stripe is only on black-painted R's? Perhaps to create more contrast or something like that.
