No extra wheels for me. I don't drive my Shelby's very often so the risk of damage is much less. My 16 GT 350 only has 4,500 miles on it and I don't expect to put many miles on the GT 500. Manly a show car and occasional date night car.
Ford seemed like they got a late start to begin with on the GT500. With the delays and winter shutdown I wonder how they can get to 5000 before the end of the model year. The bulk of the cars will need to be made in the spring and summer.
If there is a supply or quality issue then I prefer to wait to get exactly what I want without quality issues. This is way to expensive of a car to recieve rushed. I am fine with waiting. Even where I live in Southern California it rains and gets cold enough in December, January and...
It won’t be fun waiting but I honestly understand the reason especially considering the tire cold weather issue. I wasn’t so big on the Carbon wheels and wing on the GT350 R but the exposed. Carbon Fiber wheels and GT4 wing on the GT500 is why I ordered a CTFP care. I coughed up for the POTS...
If I win it I won't sell it. It is the built that I have on order now except for the 1 of 1 color. Since the car I ordered won't deliver until spring if I win the JRDR special I would just cancel the car that I have on order. I will be Calironia dreamin until the spring either way!
There is no reason to take the traction control off when driving it on the streets. I definately wouldin't take such a high powered car out in the rain either.
It is the base model that I cancelled. I am keeping the CTFP with POTTS order. It won't come until the spring. The dealership that I cancelled from is kind of pissed off at me but if any of you want to reach out to them and try to get it feel free to contact me. The car I cancelled will...
I guess when it all comes down to it there is nothing I can do but wait. It comes when it comes and there is nothing I can do about it so I will just be patient. What about your CTFP GT 500? Did it make the cut before having to wait until the spring?
I too will have to wait but getting the CFTP version with the painted on stripes will be worth waiting for. I will just be patient and stay active doing other things and enjoying the cars I have now during the fall and winter.
I wish you good luck on getting it by then. Unless you are in Southern FL you will have to be careful with the temperatures. It gets pretty cold in flat rock even in November. I wonder how Ford will prevent sport cup 2 tire cracking problems.
