Overall, the new GT doesn't sound like a huge enough upgrade over my 13 to trade in early. I may wait for the GT350 and trade up for that once I paid my car off.
The '15 GT should beat the 1LE.

You can see a couple '13 GTs doing 1:55 and 1:54 there. They have mods of course, Reber's mods listed here: .
Here is a day with a couple 1LE's doing the same times...
I am betting there is no difference, it is just marketing. Race cars with paddle shifters or sequential shifters use an auto-blip when down shifting and braking into turns, it helps to keep the rear wheels from breaking loose and spinning them out. On the street it doesn't have much use.
Brembos on the rear is seriously $1500 that would never go to use. Unless you could manually adjust the brake bias they would be totally useless. I bought high friction pads for my Mustang for track days and didn't put the rears in once. I'd say I still have 80% surface left on the rears after 6...

I'm mostly kidding. I'm waiting a couple years to pay off my 13, hopefully they have some more colors and a track day model that can kill the Camaro 1LE.
