He had problems with his I knew that ruined the inserts. I was under the impression he fixed them by Nats. I had a similar problem but caught mine in time/resolved it before it hurt them. If you saw me in paddock, I had my shocks fully apart twice on Sunday and Monday. Part of trying to be an...
Shop around more. Pretty sure I found some generic ones I bet would fit. 18x9 ET38. Would have to spend some money buying one at at time for test fitment or find a dealer for all of them and hope they will work with you.
I think we gotta use 2nd to have that thrust advantage over everything except the 2016 Camaro auto. Then do our best for the short times we might need 3rd. You can do about 58.8mph in 2nd on 285, .6mph less with 275s.
All the testers are friends of mine. They asked to use my car before Nats and again at nats but work needed me back by Friday so Thursday was the 13 hour drive home. I think the data was very well thought out and interesting.
I did a lot of analysis about running 3rd. The thrust is worse than...
Do headers save any weight over the stock setup? Also, any gains if you do highflow cats instead of cat deletes? Cat deleting is not an option for me unfortunately.
Hey guys,
I've been lurking this forum for awhile but couldn't really do much due to rules classing running in a basically catback only class. However next year the SCCA is running an experimental class called STP, or Street Touring Pony (car). It allows for an intake, header with cats...
Simmonz got a tune and did some gear testing via GPS. 7600rpm limiter with 275/35/19 is 64.8mph on a 3.73 rear. That's promising and I think I'd be ok with the car at those RPMs.
Pretty sure I saw other Mustangs in grid at Nats doing this. Should be zero rubbing, more pinched than the 275 but didn't look that bad. I ran 275s all around, David ran 275/285, not sure about Chris or Jadrice but I thought they both had 285s.
Yeah. Makes sense though. I might snag some 19x10s very soon. Worse case they are street wheels/rains. I need something as my RE71Rs are getting too low to be smart street wheels yet we have more events.
A guy some of us know is thinking about fabricating adapters so we can use conventional springs in the rear for classes like STP and ESP. He's trying to gauge interest, so far only two of us said we'd be interested. Hopefully this doesn't break any forum rules so if you are interested, shoot him...
I just think it's silly to point out in this thread. I could blind test you a car with 1" wheel stagger in either way on the same tire on both sizes. You won't be able to tell I promise you that.
I'm a bit surprised they skipped the Cobra models, not sure if that's an oversight or on purpose as I wouldn't feel threatened by their power/weight given the rules but I haven't looked into them much.
Gonna be a long winter talking this one out. :)
Yup, the throttle hangs a bit on quick lift and hard braking. You can actually see the TPS% datalogging lag behind after I lift in autox before it returns to minimum value. It's not that bad but you do notice something quirky when you drive at 10/10ths.
