Strange. I have the active valve exhaust, and I find it really good. I like the normal mode, and then when I want to be a d*ck I run it in Track mode. I think it sounds sweet for a V8. At a later point... H pipe will go in. But right now, for a stock system? It's bonkers.
Oddly. I still find the B&O System better then my stock was in the 18'. Maybe at some point I'll put dynamat into the doors and amplify the speakers, but I doubt I'll do anything time soon. For me it sounds great as is.
I have a set of 19s I bought for my Ecoboost from American Muscle. I'm thinking about putting them on my GT that has 20s right now. But I figured I'd wait until the Spring to do that portion. Although, in some aspects I really think these wheels (20s) look fantastic.
One thing I'd like to get...
Oddly I laughed when I saw this post. Then I come to find out understand what you mean. I'm a tall guy. I noticed that my Convertible had something like this built in. Suprised to find an excerise I have to perform to get the seat belt.
I bought a Ecoboost Convertible in July 2023 and sold it a few days ago to upgrade to a 2022 GT Coupe. Best decision ever. Yeah, I took an L on the price, but this GT makes up for so much of it.
I found myself wanting more power, and if I added more mods on the Ecoboost it would cost me a few...
I strongly encourage OP to setup some countermeasure in his Mustangs. It could prevent a ticket from occurring. I've only gotten up to 100, and it's shockingly quick. Glad OP got the ticket dismissed.
Ohh that makes more sense. I've had the stock sound system setup in my Ecoboost, and it's not the best. In fact if I'm being picky it fu*kin sucks. Lol
Maybe if it goes on sale for July 4th or something, I'll snag it for less. But I doubt it'll be much more than the current premium. But my god does it sound crisp online. I'll have to go to some car-shows this year to hear. H-pipe to begin though. Much cheaper. Lol
I'm a new GT owner. Curiousity, what makes the hop happen? Just from flooring it from a stop? Does this mean like the tail end comes out a little bit and putting this kit on will reduce it from doing it or eliminate it entirely? After adding either option(s) does anything need to be...
OP - I've been doing some research on the best exhaust. It'll depend on your ears. I think S-Type from Borla sounds the best. You could also try a H-pipe then see if you need more.
Going to need more context to this. I find the B&O system really good coming from the stock sound system in my Ecoboost. Also had a Explorer ST at some point, it had the B&O system which really packed a punch.
I've seen tons of folks recommend H-pipes. Are there ones better than others? And does the tone change much? I really really like the way the S-Type Borla catback sounds, but also it's $2000? Wild. Also have the active-valve exhaust. It sounds bitchin' Does the H-pipe just make it deeper? No...
That's so damn cool that you can adjust that timing. When you added the H-pipe with the active exhaust have you had any drone? OR is inside/outside just louder?
Ahah! It's not my daily. I have a truck for that! But I do have a set of blizzaks that are paired to American Muscle wheels. They're 19", I believe my GT is 20" wheels/tires. Would that mess up anything? If I decided to put them on?
