As for the price, I went into this project with a budget of $10K...when the car was road ready the total spent was $9.7K parts labor and an oil change...I'm still smiling as I had some "beer money" left.
I went the ESS route on my Bullitt, G3X, G4 Intercooler, 125 pully, GT500 injectors and Wengerd 93 octane tune but since I don't have local access to a dyno I have no way of knowing how much hp it is putting on the ground, but it is more than enough to cook off the 315 Cup2s out back in any of...
I reworked the suspension on both ends and alot of stuff in the middle too, basically the entire Steeda catalog is under the car in preparation for going F/I....the car is riding on GT350 wheels, 10.5 & 11s with 305-30 & 315-30s Michelin Cup2 tires, this is not a track car nor a daily...
First thing ...get some big sticky tires under the rear, I am up to 315-30s and still have traction issues at WOT in the lower gears...MT82 & 3.7 gears with a G3X/125 pully , 93 octane Wengerd tune...OBTW the gas mileage is basically unchanged in my "normal" driving , you're gonna love it.
I have that setup on my Bullitt...Wingard tune, GT500 injectors and FRP plugs, runs fine on 93 octane with stock fuel system...car is a "poor boy's GT500", and having been jumped by ZL1 at a 65mph roll and pulled him by 1/2 a car up to just over 100mph I'd say it works well.
It was mounted at two points, however now that the origional air filter/air box has been replaced with an ESS G3X it is "hanging" from one mounting point and the hoses...
Now for something different...08 MINI Cooper S Clubman or a "14 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom, would have included pictures but for some reason this app won't let me...go figure
Sorry K4fxd, you're too late....I just picked up an '08 MINI Clubman S...new project car, the little thing handles like a go-cart but at 175 hp it's a bit of a letdown after the Bullitt...
I have a Wingard tune on my Bullitt with an ESS G3X, no issues at all on 93 octane...I had been running the Steeda Bullitt tune prior to going F/I which was also trouble free for the 2 years it did duty while I was getting the chassis ready for F/I, now that I have the car setup to my liking it...
I did the eco-boost guage as I wanted to retain the OEM appearance, plus the boost guage is mostly for passenger entertainment since when it's showing boost I'm too busy driving the beast to pay attention to it....OBTW it isn't exactly plug and play as you have to enable it in the PCM with FORScan.
