Backstory. I've been chasing a clunk in the car and while we had it up in the air we noticed the bushing for the differential and subframe was completely torn. To the point where there's no gap on the bottom of the bushing. Not sure if this is directly the noise, but it's definitely related...
Should the shocks be rebounding back up if pressed down? Current settings are 5 compression, 6 rebound.
I had them disconnected from the shock mount but they weren't coming back up. I figured this was normal for a drag shock that wasn't gas powered?
So we're at the conclusion that the DIFF TO SUBFRAME bushing on the drivers side is destroyed. Replacing this week, the toe rods and bushings were good
i'm going to get under the car today and check it out before I put full faith in the dealer diagnosing it correctly.
I can drop the side of the toe link that connects to the knuckle without changing alignment, right?
long story short, I'm a dummy -- key fell out of shorts type of thing on 4th of july weekend in front of my house and some randoms came by and yoinked it.

just recently had the whole thing rebuilt -- started out with the shifting having a ton of slop (had to fight tooth and nail ) -- they replaced the spring assembly to return it back to center, then the whole...
dropping it off Saturday, unfortunately the dealer is not a "ford performance" dealer so they can't order the part if the bushing is bad.. but I think ill order one in the meantime just in case.
thanks for the assistance guys.. will report back!
