I am number 3 on my dealers list. It is not a confirmed list yet (no down payments) so sometimes the list shortens. I was number one on his list for the GT350 and having lots of fun with that right now.
Thx for update.
I wont buy another 6speed GT500. I like to hand my cars down to my kids and nobody wants a 6 speed. I also hate driving in rush hour traffic in Toronto. Hard on the knees and the clutch.
My daughters both own loaded SS Camaro convertibles (2013 and 2018) as their fun cars. They love the looks, performance etc.
My son and I both own Shelbys (several). We love them for different reasons.
While I would not personally buy a Camaro, I don't disrespect what each (Ford and GM) has...
Company loyalty is fast becoming a thing of the past as consumers buy the freshest most intriguing products not those their fathers bought. As such manufacturers are forced to refresh and redesign their most popular models more frequently dramatically increasing R&D spending. Add to that a...
I predict a Ford - Chinese manufacturer alliance/merger. Ford sucks big time in China (they simply don't like Ford cars) and more often than not loses money in Europe where it has about 10% market share. ...GM sells nothing in Europe. That would solve once and for all the issue of...
The market has too many players to be all things to all people. Not one automotive manufacturer can afford the massive R&D necessary to invest in a "full vehicle" line up for - fossil fuel - hybrid and fully electric vehicles (all at the same time). Every company that has created an...
Sounds like you guys are way more up on this stuff than I am. My guess is that Nascar is suffering from some of the same issues that Golf is...capturing the heart and minds of current generation.
Throw a spoiler on it and away you go. If Ford's objective is to make the GT500 a hotter version of the GT350....it makes sense to do exactly what they appear to be doing.
Obviously trim, spoiler and other effects will have an impact. Not sure where brake duct openings behind front wheels...
Wow. I couldn't imagine an amateur enthusiast undertaking installing one of these. I watched about half of the video until my head began to swim! Some undertaking. It makes me appreciate what a professional has to go through to do this properly and how much goes into development of the...
I saw a 2018 GT in my gym parking lot last week. It had a bunch of blackouts and I had to go over and check it out,,,it looked amazing. I am sure this car will look similar in person.
If i was Ford I wouldn't want to be tipping my hand to the competition.
I would want to leave some room for unforeseen challenges (quality trumps performance)
I wouldn't want to disappoint the faithful (better to underpromise and overachieve)
It makes sense to leave some room for future...
Changes in transmission technology is leaving the manual transmission behind. Sooner of later it will be relegated to specialty car status. Having replaced 3 clutches and flywheels on my GT500's it gets a bit old after a while. None of my daughters drive a manual so I can't hand down my cars...
These results are merely indications of relative performance.
The drivers are not professionals testing performance under race conditions.
Having said that...I am not a race driver either...and I never take my car to the track...but I do care how it stacks up against the best of the...
Drove by Barrie Ford on my way back from cottage yesterday. Talk to Darcy if you are interested 705 735 8860 According to him their entire allocation came at once. Barrie is one hour north of Toronto airport. Some nice looking iron!
With 5 on lot I would guess they would sell for list or...
